The product (VACCUM CLEANER) has only…

The vacuum cleaner has only recently moved out of its warranty period by approximately one month; however, it has been experiencing intermittent issues for the past six months. During this time, the power indicator would illuminate, but the motor failed to operate reliably. There were also multiple occasions where the power cable retracted unexpectedly into the unit, and the appliance frequently overheated during normal use.
The product has now ceased functioning entirely and will not power on at all.
Given that these faults began while the product was still relatively new and well within its reasonable expected lifespan, the overall quality of the appliance is deeply disappointing—particularly considering the premium price charged. Despite the product being marketed as utilising “German technology,” the performance and durability do not reflect this standard.
When contacting customer service, I was advised that a $40 inspection fee would apply. This is frustrating, especially as the issues were evident shortly after purchase and persisted throughout the warranty period. The experience gives the impression that the product is designed to perform only for the duration of its warranty.
Overall, the level of service and product quality has been unsatisfactory given the cost. Based on this experience, I would not consider purchasing Miele products again and would instead recommend exploring alternative brands that offer better value and reliability.

An expensive mistake.

Unfortunately I have to agree with all the other reviews here. Would never purchase these expensive appliances again. Miele washer and dryer came with our new apartment. Difficult to understand instructions for the washer. Poor service from Miele South Melbourne Australia. 1300 “help” line is just gives dead silence.

I would never buy Miele again

I would never buy Miele again. Our $4,000 freezer never properly made ice. I waited 2 months for a technician who never showed. Now they are giving me another appointment in 1 month (although have already had to clear out freezer for defrosting process).

When my family moved to Australia We decided to purchase the whole range of Miele products including washing machine, fridge, vacuum cleaner, drier and dishwasher. We trusted quality German brand to last for a long time hence we paid premium price. I couldn’t be more wrong. Fridge door handle snapped after 1 year and door hinge was gone after 3 years ears. My washing machine lasted 4 years and the motor is gone. Dishwasher is worse than my old 12 years old Bosch. I am happy with vacuum cleaner

Products and customer service do not meet premium standards.

During the last 15 years I have purchased 7 Miele kitchen and laundry appliances. When I pay a premium price for a product, I expect high quality and longevity, particularly when Miele advertise “design that makes you fall in love, longevity that never makes you fall out of it”. Of the 7 appliances, 3 have had serious problems with poor quality materials and/or manufacturing (2 dishwashers and 1 induction cooktop). A 42% failure rate. The problem with one dishwasher was serious enough for Miele to eventually replace it. With all 3 issues Miele has been difficult to deal with, and extreme persistence was required to achieve resolution. The last dishwasher developed rust in the door 3 years from purchase. I phoned Miele Customer Support 6 times, spending over 5 hours on the phone. Each time I was unable to progress resolution with Customer Care who refused to connect me with anyone who could resolve the issue. On two occasions they agreed to transfer me to the resolution Centre but on both occasions, I was left on the line for more than 30 minutes until I hung up. When Miele undertook to phone me back, they never did. Miele Customer resolution did not reply to emails and when I asked why I was informed my email had been referred to a staff member who had gone on leave. Miele customer service is the worst customer care service I have ever experienced. Their products and customer service do not meet premium standards.

Be wary if purchasing a Miele oven etc

Be wary if purchasing a Miele oven etc. especially in South East Queensland. If you experience any problems it may take several months for a technician to service or repair your appliance. In my experience on making a booking thru Miele for an oven repair in December, on the day of I was contacted by Miele to say technician has cancelled and automatically re booked for another date, 1 month later, day prior received email to say booking cancelled and re booked for another month later. Later the same day received a text and email to say the tech would be there on the day as booked. Confused I rang Miele on morning of to confirm that they would be in fact coming - they confirmed YES they would be there between 8 and 12pm. Didn’t arrive - At 1pm I rang Miele again, sorry your appointment has been changed to a month later!!!! 2 Months to repair oven not to mention wasted morning - still waiting - let’s see if they turn up this time.

In my Meile My microwave /oven combo…

In my Meile My microwave /oven combo the door wasn’t closing properly hence the microwave wasn’t warming the food ( safty action) I knew that some aspect of the door needed attention . had a Melie technician visit, who apparently has been working for Meile for 10 years. The first thing he tells me is that the two side panels are not Meile. ( which it is) because I bought the whole thing from Meile!
He rings another technician who confirms that it is.
Then he removes the section of the door from the glass and lets me know the spring is not working as it should , and that whole section ( which is most of the door ( less glass) needs replacing . I was fine with that . This whole exercise took less than 10 minutes. After which he takes the door out and refits the door at least 3 times over ( not sure why as he already knows it is the spring . He tells me it will cost #840 dollars . I was a bit shocked . So said i will let Meile know after speaking with my husband . (I had a month to decide) .
Rang Meila again , to order the door and was told the door only cost 540 dollars.
By this time I have already paid 199 dollars for a call out fee which includes half hour of labour. Of which only 10 minutes was actually used. It doest take long to remove the old panel and replace it with the new one .
So why am I charged 300 dollars extra, when the part cost only 540 dollars . I have spent a few hour trying to get an itemised bill from Meila for the extra 300 dollars so far they just go round and round giving me vague excuses. I know for sure there is a discrepancy, because the the lady who took my last call (Joanne )who was so well spoken gave me a 25 % discount not sure how that came about . What are they covering up ? I hope the Meile CEO gets to read this if a company like Meile cannot give an itemised bill for their services there is something fishy going on .
I have already paid the call out fee. The fixing of the door takes about 10 minutes so why the 300 dollar extra fee .
I will not be buying any Meile products any more as over time the costs are more, service charges are high with poor customer service, not sure if Meile still stands for its old product value . There are many more mid range products that have quality service and are good Australian products .

Terrible customer service

I bought a Miele tumbler drier, went to pick it up from the Harvey Norman warehouse. No drier. No apology, no communication from Miele, I could only speak to someone in the Philippines. Eventually they have sent a replacement to the Harvey Norman warehouse invoicing me for another $1900!! Appalling customer service or lack of it. The brand is now dead to me!

Injured using telescopic brush

Used the Miele blizzard vacuum today while I have owned it for a while it has been used by another person. Went to use the telescopic brush and when the time came to adjust it back it would not move. Tried to look for online tips and none of the videos showed anyone adjusting the brush into original position. The online ma ual was of no assistance and the customer online 24 support and online question form could not be located. After ten ,I utes of significant pulling and wriggling the nead moved quickly and violently causing a significant cut on finger. The vacuum may be okay but if adjustable parts do not EASILY adjust then it is a fairly useless feature and product. I do not have strength or physical issues and would therefore certainly not recommend to anyone with arthritis or other physical challenges with hands. Have taken a photo of my finger as evidence.

If I could give a rating of 0 stars, that’s what they would be given. I have a Miele Oven which has been an amazing oven for the last 12 years, however, it is now losing heat whilst cooking. I have had 2 technicians out in December hoping it would be rectified before Xmas, the problem still exists. I called again 30 December, was told they would escalate the job and have a manager call me within 24 hrs, as I advised them I was hosting New Year’s Eve and needed it attended to immediately. I did not receive a call from the Manager. I called 31 December waited on the phone for 55 minutes only to be told they would have the scheduling team call me. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told the supervisor would not speak to me as it was nothing to do with them. Next time I need to purchase a new appliance, I would NEVER purchase a Miele product based on their NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

NOT HAPPY…

The service department is totally incompetent. My 3 year old oven has not worked for three months. I waited a few weeks for the technician to come, only to be advised he could do nothing as he needed a second man to lift the large oven out. The Service Dept knew the oven model but ignored that. A wasted visit. Another appointment, postponed, a 3rd appointment, postponed, a fourth to be made. Christmas next week. Not happy.

Non existent service and support

I have a houseful of Miele appliances and until the last couple of months could only state that they had great support service. I have been trying to get my washing machine and dryer fixed. I have sat at home waiting for the repair person and called after the repair time window to say that they are sick. I have been unable to rebook despite multiple phone calls and emails. The call centre has lovely polite people but NO ACTION!!. Somebody will call you back in 24 hours and still NO ACTION! Until Miele can sort through this complete absence of service and support and the non functioning erroneous new booking system I would look to alternate appliance branding. Sorry Miele but I could not be more disappointed and will be transitioning away from your branding unless there is a drastic improvement in service.

Don't buy from Miele online

Don't buy from Miele online. Products are great, but customer service and delivery is terrible. When ordering online you can select a desired delivery date - but this means nothing. Received a confirmation email from Miele after purchasing which stated they would be in touch about delivery. I heard nothing and on my expected delivery date I had to call Miele - the machines had not even been dispatched. We had someone at home waiting for delivery for 4 days - and not once did Miele call me back or follow up on delivery as they promised to do.

Woeful Service in Perth

Miele dishwasher. The washer is about 3 years old and has performed well. A fault appeared recently causing me to call for a service. The quickest someone would attend was 4 weeks!! After a few calls to see if this could be expedited, I was told they only have one service guy and his work list is remotely managed. If you have a service need you may find buying a new machine a less stressful option. AEG will install in 2 days.

Never Buying Miele Again – Utterly Frustrated with Their Service

I paid a higher price than most other washing machines to buy a Miele TwinDos,the top-rated model on their own website.
Three years later, one morning the TwinDos function suddenly stopped working. I called their customer service and spent almost the whole day on this issue.

First, the waiting time was extremely long measured in hours. The service representatives seemed to be based in the Philippines, and their scripted responses were completely useless. They kept putting me on hold to “check their manual,” and it was obvious they had no hands on experience,they probably had never even used the machine themselves.

After being placed on hold countless times, I asked to be transferred to someone who actually knew what they were talking about,but they refused to transfer me. Only when the representative finally admitted they couldn’t solve the problem did they escalate the call to the technical team.

The technician merely told me to unplug the machine and plug it back in, and when that didn’t work, they gave up easily without trying any further troubleshooting. Then they informed me that the warranty had expired after two years, and if I wanted a technician to come out, it would cost AUD $194 for just half an hour, plus another $40 for every additional few minutes—what an easy way to make money!

So, I’ve decided: I will never buy another Miele product again.

BEWARE

Ordered a Miele dishwasher on 2 September via phone. Website said "in stock", was informed by salesperson that delivery would be 11 September. After no contact from Miele, we rang. Can't deliver until 15 October!!!!!
Please be aware when ordering and paying for an item that is "in stock". Delivery date is very unreliable.

I have the top of the range AutoDos Dishwasher…

I have the top of the range AutoDos Miele dishwasher which I purchased about 18 months ago, so I am still covered by the warranty. In recent times, my dishwasher has not been cleaning the contents properly so I contacted the store where I purchased the dishwasher. The store then made contact with Miele and I received a call from Miele later in the day.
The lady who contacted me had a heavy accent so I had difficulty understanding her. She insisted on putting me through a process of elimination for the problem over the phone, but I could not understand her or follow her instructions.
I said I would prefer a technician look at my machine but I then hesitated to proceed when she emphasised there would be a $199 call out charge if there was no issue found with the dishwasher, but a problem deemed to be caused by me. Then without further ado she went silent. I continued to hang on thinking she was looking further into my circumstances but she never returned so I hung up. I was not contacted again.
Sadly this reflects the attitude in today’s society. Money over service.

Product Still Ok But Support Terrible

I have a lot of Miele appliances and I still believe they are well-made but the Australian branch of Miele is presumably not operated by them as the support and online experience are just dreadful. An example: I want to buy an extension for my top of the line Miele vacuum cleaner - the website doesn't say which vacuum cleaner it matches with but asks you to input the model number - apparently nothing at all, no extension works with my vc purchased six months ago - not even the extensions that came with it. I would just purchase it and take a gamble it will work as the ones I have which Miele says don't match obviously do BUT the support is so bad, it's not worth it. They cannot answer basic questions and have no product knowledge. Does Miele just think that Australia as a market is not worth putting any effort into? I feel stupid for having bought so much of it when their contempt for customers is so brazen and insulting. So I'm about to buy a knock off extension which I don't like doing but at least I know it will fit my Miele and that they will have customer support - how bad is that and why doesn't Miele gaf anymore?
