An attractive instagram user with a back story that she's a mother with two kids and that she's a professional trader connected with me. After exchanging some pleasantries, our "fictitious" backgrounds, and locations, I steered the conversation back to the purpose of he connecting with me.
As soon as they give me a website address, I'll take a quick look for some indicators like number of clients, length of time in operation, who the founders are, and their liquidity, etc. The next trip is to who . is to see when the site was registered. Invariably, the scammer always claims the site is much older than the registry date. Secondly, I check for the value of their website. If they've been in operation as long as they always claim and have tons of clients, they should have tons of traffic. Tons of traffic translates into website value. If they've been pumping their scam, they may get a website value of 150 to 200.00 but usually, the scam website is worth less than 100.00 as was the case here.
Here's the last part of my conversation with this lovely scammer. She wanted me to give her my whatsapp number to which I responded.
No. As I indicated before. I prefer instagram.
I won't be investing without having access to the background information on the founders of the company. I hope you understand.
Lovely scammer: Sure I can understand what you mean
Me: In fact, I think MTO is a scam and you are a liar.
Lovely scammer: Sorry I don't get you
Me: I'm an investigator and write reports on scams that people send me. You should read some of my reports on trust pilot.
I may write a report on MTO as well.
You already know that MTO was only started 9 days ago but you told me you were an expert trader with them for over 7 years. That constitutes 1 lie.
You told me MTO had other expert traders and they had a lot of clients. Well, with a lot of clients, MTO should have a lot of website traffic. Does it surprise you that they have zero traffic? So how many lies does that entail?
So, what kind of report can I truthfully right on Trustpilot?
Do you get me now?
Lovely scammer never responded to my last comments on instagram and promptly delete "her" instagram account.
The proof is in the pudding and the pudding is not the fake profits they promise. It's in the transparency of their claims which a scammer will never provide. You don't have to risk your money to find out if an opportunity is a scam or not if you know how to do your due diligence.
Cheers
