Medvet (Chicago) has a kind and dedicated staff, the doctors are good at explaining procedures and offering alternatives when possible. My elderly cat has been hospitalized in critical care for 48 hours 3 times and been well cared for,plus they encourage visiting. I appreciate the client coordinator role as they can offer calm guidance during an emergency and discuss and resolve any issues and billing in a non-rushed manner in a private room instead of at the billing desk . Free access to social workers is provided during the week. I've also had positive experiences with their internal medicine and surgery departments.

I think they forgot that we were waiting in the room. Absolute worst service I have ever experienced from a veterinary clinic. We have been waiting for 5 hours and still have not been seen by the vet. They placed us in a room after two hours waiting to go through triage and just left us there waiting. We arrived at 10 and it is now 3:02. Still no doctor to be seen. I know this is an emergency vet and emergencies do arise but 5 hours of waiting to be seen by a doctor is too long. We are about to give up and leave

Took my dog in because he had tried to swallow what felt like a stick. They were all about unnecessary costly procedures. They wanted x-rays and bloodwork before even doing a mouth exam. They ¹took him back and when we finally got him back to us he had a small pimple size sore that had small amount of blood coming out.
DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO NOT GO HERE. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE I EVER GO BACK!
