Very disappointing experience with MedCart.
I placed an order on 30 May for essential care supplies that were urgently needed. At the time of purchase, the items were listed as "In Stock" on the website, and no issues regarding shipping costs were raised during checkout.
After waiting well beyond the advertised delivery timeframe, I was contacted and informed that additional shipping fees were required because my address was supposedly in a "regional/remote area." My delivery address is a metropolitan Sydney suburb, not a regional location.
I was also advised that there were stock availability issues, despite the products being shown as in stock when I placed the order. If items are unavailable, the website should accurately reflect this to avoid misleading customers.
Customers should be provided with the full shipping cost before payment is taken, not days later after the order has already been placed. Better inventory management and transparent pricing would prevent situations like this.
Due to the delays, lack of communication, unexpected shipping charges, and conflicting information regarding stock availability, I ultimately had to cancel my order. 13 days I have been waiting.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not purchase from MedCart again. They are like middlemen. Just purchase directly from the supplier like PPE supplier.
