Lovely Beef Fillet delivered on time!

Ordered a 1kg beef fillet for a beef Wellington and it was delicious. Great price, excellent quality and delivered within 48 hours even though they advise that sometimes they have delays at the moment. Will definitely be back!

Extreamly quick service, excellent communication, and top quality products. This was the first time I have used this company but will certainly be re ordering in the near future.

I am a convert

I am a convert. Historically we travelled in the car to Smithfields at an ungodly hour to get our meat. I tried Meat & Cleaver and the quality is incredible. Absolutely first class lovely stuff. Well priced and the convenience of delivery is the cherry on top. Keep doing what you're doing as it's our new fav Butcher!

Good quality meat let down by delivery

First time using Meat & Cleaver. I rang ahead before ordering on Thursday to check delivery would be on the Friday which I was assured it would be.

They called later that afternoon to say there had been a delay, but the order would be with me Saturday before midday. I rang on Friday to check this was still the case, again assured it was.

Midday Saturday came and went, eventually managed to contact the delivery depot who told me Meat & Cleaver had been arranged it for Monday not Saturday as promised, and that the only way to get it would be to drive to the depot myself before they closed to pick it up.

I called Meat & Cleaver to ask what had gone on, but they just asked if delivery on Monday was a problem.

A real shame, as the meat was better quality than I have been able to get locally - I just doubt I could trust them to get it to me when they say.

EDIT - Perhaps unsurprisingly, the email mentioned in the response has also not yet been delivered. Surely the delivery company can't be responsible for that as well?

Hi Matt, Thank you for you honest feedback. i can only apologies for the delay in delivery. please understand that we use a 3rd party courier to deliver our national order like most other online butchers. we do sometimes see delays in delivery but we can only relay the information we receive from our courier. we do our upmost to help all our customers receive there orders on time but unfortunately there is only so much we can do. i will be taking this up with apc as it was booked out for a Saturday delivery and we pay a premium for this service. As a good will gesture and as a way to restore some confidence ill be emailing you shortly. Many Thanks Sam

EDIT - a 25% discount voucher has been sent by email as a way of apology for the inconvenience caused by the delivery company.

First time purchase

Even under the delays for C19 the meat arrived as scheduled. First time using this supplier and couldn’t be happier with the product received. Will definitely use again

Great service, great meat.

I tried out meat and cleaver for the first time recently as I was after some good quality meat that I could use in a smoker. I placed an order on the Thursday and it arrived on Friday well packaged.
The quality of the meat was excellent and turned out delicious. I'll definitely be using them again.
