Very easy to communicate with and response time was awesome

We start express entry visa for a family,because the mdc was not straightforward prior to application ,pushing more and more payment on the phone despite telling the we don’t need further add on .depiste of their own representative that’s these add on not compulsory or essential they were sending more and more emails.like others review here ,they stopped replying our calls and message and emails. They will say here we located someone to look your case which hey done on our previous reviews since nov 2025 they didn’t reply us . Waiting for our genuine refund

Worse experience and lost my money

Despite contacting again and again they never respond. Everyone b careful with your money .I learnt it after I got affected mentally and financially

I was told that I would get my refund of £500 in at least 23 days. This was on 23rd Jan, I have still not received my money back. I have emailed and I keep getting ignored. I want my money back ASAP! I have been chasing this for months, it is such horrible and bad customer service. I regret ever using MDC Canada

My experience with this company showed a pattern of misrepresentation and high‑pressure sales tactics that only became clear once I stepped back and researched on my own. I’m sharing this so others don’t get caught in the same situation.

How It Started

The eligibility call felt reassuring, and I was encouraged to purchase immediately. No one suggested taking time to verify actual visa requirements or whether the recommended programs were necessary. Immigration processes are naturally slow — there is no benefit to rushing into anything on the same day as a sales call. Taking a few days to research their recommendations before signing the retainer is completely okay.

Where It Fell Apart

The Retainer

Within minutes of signing the retainer, the tone changed. High‑pressure sales began almost immediately.
Before signing, read the retainer carefully and ask direct questions about refund policies. Their money‑back guarantee appears after the retainer and does not clearly align with it, so make sure you understand exactly what applies.

Add‑On Packages — The Breaking Point

This is where everything unraveled.
• Several expensive add‑on programs were presented as mandatory, even though they were optional and unnecessary for my study permit.
• I was pushed into Interview Preparation and IELTS programs that didn’t apply to my visa type.
• The pressure, urgency, and scripted tactics made it clear the goal was to upsell, not support.
Be very aware that their preparation programs are optional. Make sure they genuinely fit your process and needs, and be prepared to say no — and stick to it.

The Refund Trap

Their refund policies contradict each other:
• A 10‑day discretionary period in the Terms of Service
• No clear timeframe in the retainer
• A 14‑day money‑back guarantee on the payment page
• The refund policy on their programs is unknown I was heavily rushed in distress and the agent pushed signing the contracts in bulk and the contracts were never provided to me despite my requests.

I requested a refund within 24 hours of signing the retainer. Once the call ended and I had time to clear my head, I researched everything they told me — and discovered that much of it had been heavily misrepresented to pressure me into buying additional programs.

No refund was ever approved.
Instead, I encountered delays, stall tactics, shifting explanations, and eventually silence — despite consumer protection laws, including Canada’s 10‑day cooling‑off period and protections against misrepresentation.

MDC won’t directly say they won’t refund, but their pattern is to delay until you give up. If a refund is denied or ignored, resolutions often have to come from outside sources, including bank disputes, regulatory complaints, and reporting the RCIC. The RCIC is aware of the case, and the responsibility ultimately rests with them.

Documentation Issues

• I had to repeatedly request signed copies of the retainer and other documents.
• Some were never provided.
• Staff frequently cited being out of the office or unavailable, causing constant delays.

Communication Problems

• Support, finance, and the RCIC gave inconsistent or contradictory information.
• Deadlines were missed.
• Escalations never happened.
• Concerns were minimized rather than addressed.

What You Need to Know Before Paying Anything

If a company refuses to refund, you may need to rely on bank disputes, regulatory complaints, or even small claims court.
If you’ve already paid something, stop immediately, demand a refund, and refuse further payments. It is far easier to dispute one payment instead of five.

Canada’s immigration system supports self‑filing, and many reputable independent RCICs exist.

***Update
They promised a refund in writing via email but the manager said she tried to call and I did not answer (I had zero calls from MDC that day) but would I be available that day to take a call. I responded yes I was available at her earliest opportunity and I left my morning open. MDC did not call which is consistent with their pattern of missed deadlines. The reality is this call is just another stall tactic they have my card on file they can initiate the refund and email me the processing time.

Also they will flag your reviews so make sure you provide your information and post again if necessary.

Muy mala gestión. Solo llaman para que le pagues (por cierto muy caro) y luego que lo haces ya no les importa.
Te venden un sueño diciendo que tu proceso va caminando bien y no es así. Por más documentación que les mandes nunca terminas. Solo les importa el dinero.
Muy mal servicio no caigan en esto! Ya me pasó.
Y para agregar; cuando le pagas luego te llaman para cobrarte más.
