So far so good! We're in the process of organising our wedding outfits and the process has been great. Helpful, friendly, appear to be on the ball. We'll pick up the outfits in a few weeks, then come back with final review, but first impressions are excellent.

Our friends are getting married in October in Aberdeen, we live in Kilmarnock so Glasgow would be closest for sizing. Unfortunately I've been going through a lot of medical issues which has meant getting to the store has been impossible. My wife phoned Craig at Aberdeen and explained the situation, who instantly said "not a problem, have you got a tailors tape measure? We'll do a zoom call!".
True to form Craig set up the zoom call for the arranged time, talked my wife through measuring myself and my son and sorted all the details so the kilts will be there for our friends to pick up with the rest of their wedding party. They explained about deposits but we had set the money aside so paid there and then and were told to phone at the end of the month for another zoom call to double check on sizing.
For what has been a stressful time for ourselves and panicking that we wouldn't be able to get there in time, Craig made this as easy as he possibly could for us, even offering to include 2 sizes of shoes each so there are no issues on the day.
Such a relief and the customer service has been spot on! Pricing was very competitive too for the hire.

8 people in party for my daughters wedding. Only one kilt correct. Wrong size's after a fitting. Kilt shirt etc. Had to go in and replace or adjust.stressful and unnecessary as you pick up day before.
All sorted but shouldn't have happened.
Quality 1st class but on my experience would not recommend.

Amazing service is all I can say.
I arrived in Aberdeen for a wedding to find l'd left my kilt at home 😱.
Wedding is in 2 hours they sorted me out instantly and made it to the wedding with minutes to spare.

I had a very mixed journey with McCalls on the good side the hire manager (Craig) is an absolute asset to this company his professionalism is second to none, would have given him 10 stars. Unfortunately we did not have the same with other assistants but I have been assured that this has been addressed and further training has been given.

Excellent service from the staff at Broughty Ferry. Even though I had to change my sizes 4 weeks and then on the day of collection, the jacket had to be changed to another size, nothing was a problem. McCalls should be proud of their Broughty Ferry staff.

Came in to discuss my wedding attire and to have a look at the hire kilts in Aberdeen. The manager was nowhere to be seen and when he did eventually appear, he was extremely unhelpful and bumbling through. Appeared to be having the staff on the floor doing everything for him. We had a lovely talk with Melissa though who went through all our options and the different tartans we could have for the boys. She was really knowledgeable and informative, and has some amazing suggestions that I hadn’t even thought of. She was extremely patient and welcoming, and was the only saving grace of our experience.

Have ordered a belt and waistcoat online the service has been first class and delivery on time and undamaged

We were hiring waistcoats, jackets and 1 kilt for a bridal party, only small hitch was at start, seemed to be a miscommunication from Aberdeen store to Glasgow store, first person ordering had to pay his hire as was no account set up, that was sorted very quickly at Glasgow store by Asli, all went smoothly from there, from the 4 lads being measured to collection and returning. Asli was very helpful throughout, as were everyone I spoke to on phone.
Previously we also bought the grooms jacket and waistcoat and other things from Aberdeen store, happy with that service too

Great service and helped with the choice of jacket.
Simple process and was able to pick up and return jacket to my local shop. Same again next year!

As a non-Scot, and hiring a kilt for the first time in my life, I found the shopping experience friendly and professional. As the bride's father, I was kitted out splendidly (with a distinctive tartan) and felt at home with friends and in-laws. I was also very pleased at how you were able to respond to a last minute change in measurements. Thank you for helping to make my daughter's day special.

From the states, I traveled to Edinburgh for a wedding and rented a kilt. Multiple people at McCalls joyfully helped me get sorted with my first ever rental. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming.

I recently bought a new kilt and day jacket with the accessories from McCalls shop in Aberdeen. It was a really great experience from the initial zoom call for measurements with Ailsa till collection. The staff in the men’s department made it a very enjoyable experience and thoroughly delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend. Our youngest daughter was getting married and the groom also hired a kilt outfit and again it was a great experience with Craig and Nikki. Many thanks to all.

Great staff who were very knowledgeable and very helpful. They have very good selection of kilts and attire to both hire and purchase.

Used McCalls for Brothers Wedding in May as he used same for himself and Best man.
Items all picked up by one person and taken to Drumtochty Castle so little chance if hiccup with order.
In my case was a pretty big hiccup.
I had been asked by staff to try on a pair of trousers just for size and that correct type same as brothers would be organised!
Trousers sent were ones I had tried on AND had NOT been taken up to fit. so had to run around organising safety pins to pin hem up!
But being the wrong trousers in both style and colour was an absolute joke!
This was followed by the jacket which was also not the same as brothers and also had buttons missing.
I was so irate decided not to respond incase I went to far but now a few months later and having just been sent a review request by McCalls can compose myself and warn others to check at beginning, check again a week before and check again on pickup day BEFORE you leave shop!
I will never use them again but in their defense I trusted them to deliver it correctly without checking again on the day

Fantastic service , boys kilts were beautiful even hemmed the kilt as they didn’t have the size. Collection was fast and returning items too ! Thank you so much 💗
