Be careful of the store manager Josh
Be careful of the store manager Josh! 4001 4 street north location in St. Petersburg. He tried to over charge me for my part after giving me a $88 quote for my part, I called two other Mavis’s and got a quote that was $40 dollars less. After bringing this to his attention he got agitated and rude and initially said he was denying my service because I threatened to call the regional manager.

Ed The guy I spoke to on the phone Friday who made my appointment for Sunday was also very nice as well.
Sorry, but I cannot say the same for the lady that I dealt with at the desk on Sunday. I guess the nicest thing I could say about her is that she needs a job where she’s not in touch with the public.

I went for an oil change today and everyone was supper professional and went over an above for me where another dealership would not.

I have been dealing with Mavis Tires for a number of years. I feel they have always been able to fix my car issues correctly, honestly and fairly. They are very good about standing behind warranties. Also pleasant and accommodating. Also like the fact that there are Mavis Tire Stores everywhere.

Bought 2 tires
Bought 2 tires. Appointment set for 9am on a Friday. Told them I had to wait. Told 1hr. Well over 2 hrs (2new tires!) Ok, annoyed but let it go. Monday morning new tire is flat. after changing the tire, brought car into shop 11am.this time left car. Told "an hour or two". Called at 4pm. Told car would be ready by 5pm!!!

He listened to me and my perceived problem and explained what was the true cause of the misunderstanding on my part. They took care of the problem in a true professional manner. Change oil & rotation
Got a oil change and tire rotation bout 3mo ago cost was 120.$, my F250 uses synthetic oil. Went in and did same thing price THIS time 148.$ they charged me over 15.$ per quart for the oil. Could get full synthetic oil for 30.$ for 5qts at part store. Calling the dealer their cost would be around the 120.$ like first one at Mavis. That's the last time I will be at that tire store

I brought my 2001 F-250 in because it…
I brought my 2001 F-250 in because it pulled to the left while braking. I was quoted a discounted price of $509+/-. The Tech also said I needed new shocks as my current once were original equipment and leaking badly. He then quoted me a price of $189 per shock, installed. I told him that I'd rather wait until next month as I am on a fixed income and collecting SS. Later that evening I received a call saying that my truck was ready. When I asked for the 'damages' (what my cost was) he said, "$1404.24" This was far and away from what I had been quoted and what I wanted to do, what I was able and willing to do. Leaving me NO choice, I had to dig into my meager savings and pay the bill the next morning. I will NOT be returning to Mavis Tire. I will also lodge a complaint with the BBB and tell all and sundry to be wary of Mabvis on Tyrone Blvd. in St. Pete.
