Brought my 20 year old MINI in for new tires... and a strange, unknown vibration. Ended up with new struts, brakes, and a better ride than I can remember! Estimate was accurate; work was done quickly. Couldn't be happier with results, and their pleasant attitude.

I had a flat on a Sunday. It was the back tire on the passenger side. I drove to Mavis Tires on Schomburg on my donut/spare tire. Such tires are only good for very short distances and low speeds. The regular tire was not fixable. It had a cut near the outside edge of the tread. I ordered a replacement tire. I was told it would come Tuesday and that they would call when it came in. I drove home, less than 2 miles, and put the car in the garage. It stayed in the garage until Tuesday. I called them at 5 pm and was told it had come in 15 minutes ago and that they couldn’t put it on until 8:30 am Wednesday. I got there before 8:30. They did not put on the new tire until almost noon. It started losing air almost immediately, from 35 PSI to 26 PSI within 5 miles. I drove back to Mavis. They took off the tire looking for a nail. They put the tire in a barrow of water but did not find a reason for it to lose air. They said it was defective and ordered another tire. I was told that they were sorry they had to send me away once again on the donut. I hate driving on donuts as it feels off balance due to the smaller donut tire. The tire was supposed to come Friday. Again the car stayed in the garage until Friday morning. I called in the morning to get an idea of the status of the order. I was told that the order had accidentally been canceled and was now not expected until Tuesday. That would have meant going 10 days virtually without a car. I told them I wanted my money back, I was taking it to the dealer. He said ok. I called and made an appointment with the dealer for that same morning, I drove back to Mavis to get my refund. He asked for the tire. He said they had put it in my my trunk. We walked back to the car. The faulty tire had been mounted back on the car instead of the donut and that faulty tire had now lost about half of its air. I couldn’t believe they had put the faulty tire back on the car. The salesperson said he had not personally checked the tire for defects and wished to do so. He came back out with the tire, there was with white circle now around a slit in the tire near the outside edge. It looked remarkably like the first tire’s cut. That tire was only about 6 months old. He said the tire was not defective, that I had run over something again. I said they had checked the tire Wednesday. I believed it more likely that it had happened after they put the defective tire back on the car instead of the donut tire. He said that the people that had checked it on Wednesday didn’t have as much experience as he did. He reduced to give me a refund. They put the donut on while I watched. I drove to the dealer and mounted and balanced a new tire for me immediately.

Service was done quickly, and they checked on a problem I thought my car was having. The staff is courteous and helpful.

Our experience at this Mavis location was great because the Associate Mr. Chris went above and beyond to make sure that my son and I were taken care of. This Mavis is doing well because Mr. Chris kept us informed along the way to let us know what was going on with my son’s car, what the price would be and a graceful discount. We arrived before 0900 and there was no wait time in front of us and Mr. Chris informed us that it might take close to an hour for repairs and just like I said, this Mavis Associate took pleasure in keeping us updated along the way and I thought that this was amazing for the courtesy. I would recommend to others to come to this location, where the Mavis Associates really care about your concerns.

Mavis Tires on Schomburg in Columbus Georgia is the best I’ve been to. Ruby is fantastic, knowledgeable, caring, and truthful in her speaking with customers. My dealings with other staff members have been also very delightful and understanding. Instead of wasting your money with dealerships (if you are not under a maintenance plan that would cover the issue) then go to Mavis Tires on Schomburg in Columbus, Georgia and see Ruby at front desk. They do not handle anything to do with transmission needs, but all else this is the location you will want to go to. As far as anything to do with motor work I do not know, you can call and ask them. But outside of transmission and possibly motor issues this particular location is superb. Ruby is a true gem and as long as she is there I will continue to use them and refer others to them. Note: Stop dealing with others who keep you going back to them for issues that they have so-called fixed that you have already paid for. Once Mavis on Schomburg in Columbus, GA have fixed it, if you take care of your vehicle you will only have to go back at your routine maintenance times.

The young lady at the counter was knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. Her customer service skills are phenomenal! The service was quick and professionally handled by the technician.
