Absolutely frustrated with Mavis Tire
Absolutely frustrated with Mavis Tire and their complete refusal to honor their tire warranty. I brought my AWD Mazda SUV in because of the tires I purchased a year ago has severe outer edge chopping that is causing a loud howling noise while driving, along with obvious feathering on the edges. Even the dealer confirmed the tires are defective and causing the noise.
Instead of standing behind the warranty, Mavis Manager wants to replace only ONE tire on an AWD vehicle. Which we contacted corporate for help with the issue, we were told by the Manager of the store that we should hear something in a couple of days, so far after calling corporate and speaking with a few people, who blames the store management for not sending the correct tire information, it's been almost 3 months and nothing yet, still waiting for corporate to call. Anyone who understands AWD systems knows mismatched tread depth can cause drivability problems, pulling, and unnecessary stress on the drivetrain. Replacing just one tire is irresponsible.
What made this even worse was hearing Kevin, the manager at the Joliet Mavis location, openly admits that “corporate just bounces people around and does the minimum if they do anything at all.” That tells you everything you need to know about how this company treats customers after the sale.
They were happy to take my money when I bought the tires, but when there’s a legitimate warranty issue, suddenly they want to do the bare minimum and ignore the actual problem. Between the road noise, uneven wear, and poor customer service, I would never recommend Mavis Tire to anyone. Please let friends and family know to not go there.
Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that actually stands behind their products and warranties.
