Mavis Tire - Carmel Anmeldelser 50

Called in the morning about a flat repair while waiting. Was told to come in at 10. Arrived before 10 and was told they were a bit backed up... about a half hour wait. Due to planned travel stayed and waiting. This as other customers came and went. Inquired several times for an update on when the car would be brought in. The last time was at 1:15 PM... 3 1/4 hours after the appointment time. The service writer Kelsey was nice but the manager (apparent) was not. Advised that "you need to learn how to talk to people." Interesting saying that to a professional teacher with a doctorate! Left... took the car to an independent shop the next day. The independent show discovered that the plug Mavis installed some months before was leaking. The tires on the car have an acoustic foam lining inside. Based on the independent shop's assessment the tech at Mavis had not properly prepared the tire to accept the patch. This was the experience my lady had... I would have gone with her and dropped it off but I was 60 miles away installing new automatic transmission coolant lines in my vehicle. Never again... I'll be skipping the whole chain as corporate's regional manager Jose called and left a message to call him back. No response to a message and then he hung up before it went to voice mail twice. It's a corporate culture problem apparently... says this retired business management professor.

I was over charge for one tire. Steve then took it upon himself to charge me for things that I didn’t ask him to do. When speaking to him on the phone he told me that I might need an alignment without even looking at my vehicle. Which I found suspicious. When I told him no he then told me that the tire I need they don’t have it in stock. That he would have to order it. Then he told me in that same day that the order will come in Monday instead of today now. So when I ask to speak with the manger then all of a sudden he has one tire in the shop that he can give me. People ask questions and read your receipts. Some time the calm talking is a con to get you to pay for things that you don’t need.

Very bad experience. They didn’t pass y car the inspection just beacause they wanted 40$ for whippers . I dont recommend this place to anyone that

I was checked in a few minutes after 8 AM. My car was brought into a bay almost immediately, and the work (oil change, tire rotation, new wipers and inspection were done within the hour. Plus inspection of systems).

Manager and staff were courteous and professional.

I have been working with this Mavis store for over 10 years. For tires & inspections. The service men there are always very polite. They are always pleasant and friendly.

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I had an oil change and tire rotation and I was in and out in less than an hour. I had a very pleasant experience.

Michael, and Josh were great got me right in and right out couldn’t have asked for a better experience.. if you have the choice of Mahopac or Carmel mavis come to Carmel! 10 out of 10 times
