Focus on a select artists

I invested in 4 different suggested artworks about 4 years ago. They have ALL trended down and I am unsuccessfully trying to sell them for a 50% loss. Steer clear of these fools who don't seem to know much about art.

I invested with Masterworks five years ago in a Basquiat painting, and honestly, I would’ve been better off losing the money in Vegas.

They pitch these investments like you’re getting access to elite art returns, but five years later the painting still hasn’t sold, the investment value has dropped, and communication is basically nonexistent.

They ignore emails, but somehow still manage to spam endless new offerings no matter how many times you unsubscribe.

By far one of the worst investment experiences I’ve ever had.

Stay far away from Masterworks.

Payment processing works without a hitch. It was easy to find my investment options and see financial model. Art is prominently and vibrantly displayed. Nice content feed

I like the people at Masterworks. Very knowledgable & very professional. The platform is relatively easy to navigate once you get going. Lastly, it allows me to engage in art at a much deeper and personal level.

Experienced and polite Staff. Website is easy to use. Easy to start.

Masterworks is basically a giant scam, they don't tell you they take 1.5% of your investment per year so they have no incentive to sell. I invested years ago, and while literally everything has gone up in price, masterworks continued to degrade yearly, a combination of fee extraction and lower estimates. If you enjoy losing money, this is the investment for you. If you have money in there, get it out on the secondary market. I sold mine at pennies on the dollar. Getting something out of there is better than losing it all, which is what you will do if you keep your money in this giant regard honeypot.

This is a chance to invest in the work of an inspiring and influential artist.

Quick access, easy to use. The only issues that I have are the time in between making the purchase and the money leaving my account, and not getting notifications when new works are offered for purchase.
