I purchased a car insurance policy for a fair price back in May. Price was competitive and was happy with what was covered.
I then got a better policy through my work so contacted M&S to cancel. The advisor was very helpful and cancelled my policy (given it wasn’t due to start for another month). I was told I would be receiving a refund of my deposit, but for some reason they couldn’t access the funds and I’d have to wait a maximum of 8 calendar days after my policy was due to start to receive the money. I thought this was a bit odd but went ahead with the cancellation.
As I expected, that deadline has come and gone and no money in my account. It’s a decent sun of money and I’m not impressed that they’re still holding on to it.
I contacted the Twitter team who gave me a number to call but I couldn’t get through. I have now contacted my bank to raise a dispute for the funds that are still missing.

Received flower bouquet from my grandchildren today , very disappointed with the quality in that a number of the blooms were wilted and others squashed .

Extremely very disappointing experience. I ordered a gift card three weeks ago. Delivery tracking information never updated and item never received.
Theee phone calls to their overseas customer service and still no resolution. In addition to emails , that I never received a response to.
How hard is it to cancel the card and refund my £50.00?
A £5 gift card was issued for inconvenience, hardly representive of the situation

Been a customer now for a while after deciding to up grade our car for something bigger called to swap over our new vehicle. to be told we needed to cancel our policy on our old car then take out a new policy which would mean me paying another massive deposit and also they had just taken a payment for our old car this is just a blatant scam to get more money I have taken this to the insurance ombudsman to sort out this company do your self a favour and avoid these people like a rash. terrible customer service will try anything to get there hands on your cash very under handed

Hi all, my wife bought a pair of transparent framed sunglasses from M and S. They have UV protection. However the frames act as a lens, amplifying the sun's rays. So much so that they have burnt my wife's face quite badly.The bridge of her nose is now bleeding and where the rest of the frame reflects the sun's rays is badly burnt. If you have sunglasses like these, STOP WEARING THEM!

Came home today to find a shattered window pane in the full length panel next to the front door. No obvious cause. Rang M & S insurance expecting it to be a straightforward claim, only to be told we're not covered, that if it had been a bird strike there would be no problem claiming. We don't know what caused our window to shatter. We do know that it is dangerous and worrying - it could collapse and fall inwards at any moment, putting our family and our pets at risk. What are we supposed to do? Lock them all away in bedrooms and bathrooms indefinitely? Our house is open plan, we cannot isolate the area, it leads directly onto our only living space. Appalled, upset and disgusted by our treatment. Will be looking elsewhere for our insurance now.

Ordered a selection of clothes online, delivery fast and unproblematic. Returned some without any issues, refund for these issued promptly.

Bought car insurance on 12th May 2023 for over £400 & on their car insurance website I opted for postal docs.
Today is 6th June & no docs have arrived. Logged into their site & clicked Chat. No humans around & told to contact them by phone. Bit of a cheek when they operate a website online yet don't want to be contacted on same site by human chat or even email !. I am NOT an unpaid clerk for anyone !
Their service is no better through BISL than the worst company on comparison sites. Tried customer services on their main site & fobbed off with being referred to M& S Bank for some reason. Only myself to blame . I ought to have checked car insurance reviews on here. NOT the service you expect from a service linked to M&S. I'll be looking elsewhere at renewal. Just hope I don't need to contact them again before that time, seeing what some people have been charged for policy amendments. I used to be a broker & I never charged anyone for changes. You take your commission from the original year's premium & trust that treating your customers fairly in the meantime earns you another commission at renewal !

What rubbish service, i bought a jumper wore it twice thats around 8 hours it went bobbley, i took it back and was told to wash it and the bobbles will go, i asked for a refund was told no it will be ok if washed, you could not make it up, so now i will have to wear it for gardening,I WILL NOT USE M AND S AGAIN EVER STIILL FUMEING. THIS HAPPEND TODAY AT SCARBROUGH

My rating of one star is only there because there is no availability of zero stars!! I ordered a pair of cargo trousers, the order was accepted, money taken from my bank account and a date for click and collect given.
However on that date, after driving 45 mins to the store there was nothing there. Eventually I was told they would “probably” be there the next day. Again, no show!! The following day I received an email to say my refund was on its way, for which I’m still waiting! It’s wrong that they can whip the money out of your account instantly but take far too long to return it, despite being their fault in the first place.
I placed a similar review on the M and S website but it was rejected. I wonder why !!

I bought a gift card from M&S which I mislaid and found a few years later. I took it into a M&S store and I discovered that
M &S won't honour it
I emailed them but they ignored me. I didn't even get an automated response

If your going to give a gift of money then give it as a gift without tying your friend or relative/ the beneficiary's to one shop. As that shop sits on your money having it nicely in their coffers growing their account.

I've lost gift cards before (I'm sure) I'm not the only one and had to write them off much to the joy of companies who profit from having all the cash and don't have to give anything back but where a card is found stores like Marks and Spencer should honour them.
If I left twenty pounds in a drawer there it would remain the passing of time wouldn't mean anyone could take it as that would be theft. Taking our money from gift cards and giving nothing back is similarly dishonourable and in my view theft.

A store with a perceived good reputation should act honourably
M&S have not acted honourably they've lined their coffers and virtually said it's ours you can't have it now. I find this shocking to me it's dishonest.

As I say buy a card put cash in it don't proffit the shops with your cash through buying gift cards which they can proffit hugely from if you'll lose, or accidentally bin it. Also if you leave it to long they wont honour it. They will say it's in contract or blurb but that's dishonest it's like your friend saying any money you have left unused is mine after x period of time. That isn't acceptable. Is it!! Gift cards are notional.but out money inside them is our money no one else's

I suspect it's very lucrative selling gift cards

APPALLING SERVICE, EQUALLY MATCHED WITH A POOR DELIVERY PARTNER (EVRI) AND A CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM. Can fully understand why M&S is struggling and their customer base is looking for other alternatives. No point in complaining as their customer service team are ruder than the frontline! Still not refunded my order (after 2 weeks) and offered a £15 'gesture of goodwill' by a very rude CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER!!! to compensate for over 20 calls made to find out where my money (or goods are).... disgraceful!

Visited Marks & Spencer Brooklands Surrey to purchase leisure wear for my nephew, only large & extra large sizes on display & very few of them. I needed a size medium, tried to find an assistant to help, no one on the floor. The checkout queue’s were huge, so unable to stand and wait as i have a spinal disability which prevents me from standing for long periods & M&S no longer provide seating in their branches. I went next door to Tesco, staff were very helpful, found & took me to men’s leisurewear & even found me the size i needed. There was a time when M&S used to offer this level of customer service but it seems that profit has become more important to M&S & good customer service is no longer important to them.

Still no parcel. Despite numerous calls to overseas service centre still going round in circles. How do you contact uk customer service ? Dreadful !

What has happened to customer service. You either end up in a call centre in South Africa or India They don’t listen to your query and you just end up going round in circles. 6 calls in 2 days and just end up repeating myself and no resolution so far to missing parcel

Completely random delivery service with no accurate tracking; product arrives crushed into inadequately packed beaten up, half open, flimsy boxes, and on occasion in a filthy condition. Sizing completely inaccurate but trying to return anything is another tortuous experience. There is no customer service department other than a chatbot, phone lines only have recorded messages sending you back to the Chatbot. There is no longer a complaints department but try Richard Price, managing director retail whose contact details you can find on the findceo website who now has a whole call centre to deal with complaints for those stupid, annoying customers who actually persist in trying to get their money back for rubbish service. However, after two weeks of navigating their hostile customer environment, I've only got a partial refund ...

I am unable to actually review M&S products as they have not been delivered. If you want a product next day, or it seems at all now, my advice is not to order from this business.

I ordered next day delivery back in August 2022 and it came a week late. M&S refused to refund the delivery charge as apparently the small print says that if you order next day delivery they don't have to honour that. Warning 1.

I decided not to order from them again, but did so on Saturday as I liked their products. The next day delivery was not delivered on Sunday and now I am told my delivery is on its way back to the depot. No goods. Only a pathetic, 'sorry for your experience' and a refund of the charge. Warning 2.

What a way to treat customers!

Quality control virtually non existant...plus returns and refunds when ordering from France take an eternity. M & S have gone downhill over the years both in quality and customer service/ refunds.

I have excellent experience with M&S nice comunication , delivery on the time and quality . I love M&S

If you car is stolen they will expect that you still pay out the remainder of your policy. No matter how far you escalate your complaint regarding this issue. This greedy company will not help and will hold you until that very last payment.
