Was good until it wasn't....
UPDATE: After writing this Mann Island replied to my complaint, apologised and corrected the incorrect information. I still think that they could ahve done this more quickly and been better at communciating but once they aconolwedged this the data was fixed within 48 hours so I have updated the score and this review to reflect this.
I actually had a resasonable experience with this company in resepct of buying a car. The process was straightforward and eveything was fine. The vehicle was written off and there was some dispute around a minor difference between the payment the insurance company sent. Again Mann Island handled this reasonably.
Some time later I found out by accident that Mann Island had been reporting a 2 month missed payment of £28 to Experian. Honestly I think it was just a simple data mistake. The data is actually correct at Equifax. I expected they would just fix it but they have not and have been exremely difficult to deal with.
They have simply ignored all correspondence and just sent automated emails saying it has been logged as a complaint. Everyone makes mistakes but the quality of a company can be seen in how they deal with the and fix mistakes made.
I'm not seeking "compensation" just correction of inaccurate data.

Everything was fine and well undertaken. I did have a glitch with a bank statement not being allowed. The latest statement available was too long ago (as I get an annual statement, not monthly)
