Elaine was an amazing tutor for the GMAT. On a weekly basis, she helped me tackle each question type with the right strategy and mindset. She helped me improve my scores across each section and did a good job of adjusting our lessons depending on where I was struggling. Elaine was ultimately a big reason I was able to achieve my target score.

I used Manhattan Prep to help me prepare for my GRE and I couldn't be happier. The website and material is just fantastic. I also did some private tutoring sessions with Gregg who helped me a lot. I strongly recommend Manhattan Prep!

Gregg is a phenomenal tutor. He is brilliant and finds joy in almost all GRE problems, making it easy to motivate to study and learn. He has a unique teaching style that helped me improve my scored from the low 300s to a 320+. He is encouraging, while also keeping students honest in their studies.

While the Manhattan Prep materials are excellent in and of themselves, Gregg added incredible value with multiple permutations of each lesson to ensure I understood the material.

If you are thinking about taking the GRE, Gregg is an elite choice.

I started studying for the gmat on my own years ago and struggled to make much improvement due to the boring nature of the exam. I took an in-person 9 week course which genuinely made the content enjoyable. I looked forward to my three hour class every week and slowly saw my score improve. After the course ended, my instructor met with me twice one-on-one (for free!!!) to help me specifically prepare for the actual exam. After taking the exam for the second time, my score had improved 130 points since the beginning of the course (580 —-> 710). Shoutout to my instructor Reed who went above and beyond. I highly recommend Reed and any Manhattan prep in-person course!!!

The GRE coursework is really good. I started with the 5 Lb. Practice Problem book, and signed up for the first 15 online modules of interact program being offered with the book. This got me hooked and I started attending live GRE prep hour classes as well, completing the entire suite of prep materials offered by manhattan prep - Book, Interact, Live online GRE Class!

Pros:-

The GRE live instruction is better than what the best can be! GRE curriculum is supposed to be a bit dry, vague and boring. But Manhattan makes it more interesting and engaging. I am not a bright student myself, but I ended up practicing problems even after the class was over! Trust me, it's really difficult for someone to make me do that. Lol... I am not sure if I will see myself like that ever again! The process is made so joyful and well worth the expensive price tag!

Attending the live classes, in my opinion, is most crucial for one to make best use of their flagship book, 5 Lb Book of GRE Practice Problems. Approaching the problems in that book, after attending live classes on that topic, is really good and makes the most difficult problems seem more easy. And the problems in that book actually mimics the original GRE questions.

Cons:-

What I am not a big fan of, is the "Drill it" part of Interact program. It basically throws endless questions on a topic (in a sense but not exactly), and yet, does not have a proper explanation of the solution. Manhattan prep boasts ~100,000 practice problems, but having all of that without a proper explanation of answers seems a bit weird. It's more like a flashcard. A question will be given, and you can turn a card to reveal the answer. That's it! No explanation of how one could get that answer. And even with endless problems, what actually happens is that, within a said topic, let's say fractions, it keeps giving multiple questions of same type and concept, but with different numbers. The template is same, and the system keeps plugging in different numbers and generates different questions. It's really not that challenging to actually call it as "GRE Style question", and I am not sure if it qualifies to be called as "endless questions". It seemed a bit ambiguous.

General opinion:-

The interact program is a bit different from the on demand counterpart, which is being offered by other test prep companies like Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc., Interact is a learning module which teaches, as well as keeps testing your understanding every now and then. Although many students might find it helpful, I find it a bit intimidating and annoying, that it pops up a question every 2 minutes, while watching the video lesson.

In a sense, it felt like watching youtube with frequent ads! I could not keep my hands free, learn continuously for an hour or so and then take a half hour quiz. No, that's not interact! You need to keep switching your brain between learning mode and testing mode every 2-3 mins. You can't keep your mouse down.

The advantage to this, is that it makes best use of your valuable time, as the course keeps updating and adapts to one's strengths and weaknesses, so that one won't have to waste time in learning what one is already good at. For instance, if you are good in a specific topic, and keep giving correct answers to the intermittent quizzes, which occur between the videos, then the course will go faster, and will skip the basics for you. But if one is weak, then he / she might end up spending more time in completing the same chapter. It might be engaging for some, but the disadvantage that I felt, is that the continuous testing of concepts, is so frequent, that it makes me have it in my short term memory, just trying to get over with the speed breaker quizzes, and I doubt if I will be able to retain it in my long term memory. But attending an hour long video lesson and spending the next 30 mins in drilling the quizzes works best for me.

But I don't want to judge Manhattan prep on this regard, as this is completely subjective, and what works for others might not work for me.

My Verdict:-

If the price was a bit lower, or if we could find frequent sales being run by Manhattan, the course would have been a chef's kiss!

I took a GMAT prep class with Reed in NYC, and had a great experience! I saw a 170 point increase from my diagnostic exam to the official test in the span of 3-4 months. The class was a great community of motivated individuals and the instruction style was interactive. Reed was very supportive throughout the entire process and tailored the time spent in class to cover areas that were more challenging for our class. I really recommend Manhattan Prep if you are struggling with self-studying and need a more structured approach.

I took an 8 week course with Logan for the GRE and thought it was both time and money very well spent! Logan was supportive, patient, and encouraging, and he made a huge effort to make sure the class was happy with the pace and content.

After 2 months of the course and an extra month of studying, I sat for the test and reached my goal score on my first try! Highly recommend taking a Manhattan Prep course with Logan!

I had Tyler Johnston as my GRE for MBA instructor and loved every minute of class. Tyler made learning fun and created a zero stress environment with the students, which actually made me look forward to class each week. I was pretty rusty with the subject material, but thanks to Tyler and the Manhattan Prep coursework, I was accepted to my dream MBA school.

Highly recommend taking GMAT Manhattan Prep. They do an amazing job breaking down the test and giving you the tools to be successful. My instructor was Daniel Child. He was great and highly recommend taking the course with him. He is really smart, does a great job at explaining concepts, and is really responsive.

I’ve used several tutors for past exams, and Richard Wright was by far the best of them all. Richard’s approach to helping you increase your score is calculated and precise. Richard ensures that all weak spots are covered, assigning specifically structured homework and exercises to help improve lacking areas. On top of Richard’s diligent tutoring approach, he is extremely professional and a very pleasant person to work with. 11/10 would recommend if you’re serious about increasing your GMAT score.

The in-person courses were helpful and Tom was great in teaching the class. No question felt dumb and he was very inclusive and I loved how it kept me on track in studying.

The Manhattan Prep course is comprehensive and well structured. The dashboard keeps a record of things that need to be completed weekly before every class.
The app helps you practice every day. It makes sure that you take out a few minutes every day to prepare, no matter how busy you are.
The weekly classes are interactive and help you with tips and tricks that are extremely helpful to ace the test.
The best is their 'Interact' Video Lectures. Those videos modify according to the needs of the user.

I worked with Keith for private tutoring, and I credit him with my 100 point jump. Within 5 weeks, we identified my problem areas and targeted my studying around that. Keith was always available to jump on a call. My score went from not being able to break 660 to getting a 740 average on practice tests, and finally a 760 on my first (and only) real GMAT exam. I took the two-week GMAT bootcamp with the tutoring package and in 7 weeks went from a 590 to a 730. I worked a lot with Reed Arnold who was a fantastic tutor - really made the process fun and like a game that could be beaten!

As much as MPrep helped me achieve a 20-point LSAT increase, the lion's share of the credit rests with Allison Bell, specifically.

In taking the time to review concerns or problems I had with specific questions or question types, Ally didn’t just explain how to arrive at the right answer. She put herself in my shoes to help me identify my specific errors along my reasoning path. This may seem like a small detail but it made the course worth its weight in goal.

Although important to understand *how* to arrive at the right answer, books or videos can show you this. The attention and review Ally gave me outside the formal confines of the course time helped me identify *my* specific errors in reasoning, logic and judgement. That feedback and “seeing where *I* went wrong” is largely responsible for my score jump. Ally being an extremely understanding and approachable instructor made all the difference in fully leveraging her offer to review my particular mistakes before/after class and by email.

I cannot overstate my recommendation that you take her course and make full use of the individualized feedback and attention she gives to her students.

I had a great experience with MPrep. I tried many other methods of studying for the LSAT prior to enrolling (including self-studying, Mike Kim's, group classes, etc), but nothing was as useful as this course. I took the exam a year apart and got an 11 score increase. My instructor was Ally Bell and she was AWESOME! Very knowledgeable and always had great tips and tricks up her sleeve that I actually put to use on test day. Her teaching method was very approachable and handy. I highly recommend her and this course!

After four months of self-study, I enrolled in Manhattan Prep’s full LSAT course and tutoring sessions with Laura Damone. My score increased by 15 points, and the course has changed the way I think. Laura is an engaging and extremely talented instructor, and even with post-2020 screen fatigue, I actually looked forward to the three-hour Zoom classes. Manhattan Prep’s course helps you recognize patterns and LSAT tricks, and during the lessons, Laura helped me tailor specific strategies to think through them. As someone who struggles with test anxiety, going into the LSAT with these approaches was a game-changer. When I was so confused by passages that I couldn’t articulate a coherent question, Laura broke down the problems and provided drills to cement the lesson. Manhattan Prep’s books were helpful too—they’re well-organized and clear. But on test day, it was ultimately Laura’s voice in my head. If you have the chance to work with Laura, do it.

I am so glad that I enrolled in the Manhattan Prep course and in Annie Levin's class. My LSAT score increased 7 point in just 2.5 months which has made all the difference for me. Before Manhattan Prep, my preparation included LSAT Podcasts, Reditt forums, useless LSAT softwares provided by many, irrelevant YouTube videos, and and the many books out there. However, I was amazed on how structured and professional the Manhattan prep course was. All their books and course are seamlessly interlinked. I learned so much in those 2.5 months that I wholeheartedly recommend everyone taking a professional course and learn the right way. Additionally, I also took one on one coaching from Annie. I will always be greatfull to Annie for the teachings and wisdom. Her techniques to manage exam anxiety worked very well. LSAT is a marathon and Annie's techniques are excellent!

LSAT review: I enrolled in Annie's class after studying for about a month and increasing my diagnostic score of 152 by only one point. I cannot recommend Manhattan Prep, and Annie specifically, high enough! She was engaged, helpful, and accessible. Both during the class and after she was quick to respond to questions by email and offer her support. Her dedication to helping people navigate standardized tests and not letting the LSAT get in the way of attending their dream school was abundantly clear. When I finally took the LSAT, I scored twenty points higher than my diagnostic score. It would have been much more difficult, time-consuming, and anxiety-producing to reach the 170s without Annie and MP!
