Fabulous afternoon tea
Fabulous afternoon tea, lovely selection. Sliders, prawn cocktail, creme brulee, warm scones with clotted cream and toffee sauce, to name but a few. Tea or latte, cappucinos. Wonderful service, very attentive. Could not fault our experience. Well done Malmaison.

Brighton... As one person mentioned the entrance is not clearly obvious but a Nice clean room/hotel, lovely décor, thought it had been recently refurbed but this was in 2018, just goes to show what decent upkeep is like.

Had a business trip to Mal Maison Reading.
Yvette, the bar manager (I think!) worked so hard, she was a breath of fresh air. She worked her socks off all evening & low and behold she was at breakfast as well!

Minimalist = lack of basics for guests attending business event.
Went to an event at Malmaison in Marina, Brighton. Not so easy to find the entrances, but once inside staff were professional, friendly and helpful. When you attend an event with 100+people it is not good enough to have a queue of 20 people + with only 2 staff manning the coffee, the VIP lunch was pretty dire, with 5 or so people facing empty trays and crumbs until a member of staff produced a big plate of chips. My interpretation is 'minimalist' i.e. not enough for guests. I was very interested to see what Malmaison had to offer, and the lack of capacity for the business guests was disappointing. It has put me off staying there. And my bug bear... no choice to pay cash. I would not recommend it.

Staff very efficient and friendly, Good size room with all amenities. However, the food was outstanding. The breakfast in particular I’ve been raving about for days. It catered for everyone. Fantastic choice of cereals etc. and hot food to order.
The hotel is ideally situated for Kings Theatre. We’ll be back!

Checked into malmaison belfast staff were so helpful and so professional bar staff so attentive Addison and Oran behind the bar so attentive kept the drinks flowing .

Not a parking option
I believe my complaint is as much your responsibility as it is Booking.coms.
When searching for a hotel i used the filter for "parking" to then find when I arrived at the hotel you do not offer parking.
You only offer a small discount at a local car park or the option of on street parking which is only for a maximum of 2 hours and its just cost me £15 as we arrived late and can't move the car conveniently until after breakfast.
I will reflect this issue in my negative review as Malmaison should not appear as an option offering parking in Glasgow.
The Malmasion Newcastle
The Malmasion Newcastle, what can I scribe that has not been said or written before, all I can do is echo the majority, the hotel is excellent.
We stayed for the festive period in a suite on the 7th floor with magnificent views of the Tyne and iconic bridge. The room was well laid out, clean throughout, the decor was classic-modern and to our tastes, the bedroom and lounge area were comfortable and relaxing, the bathroom was gorgeous.
The service provided throughout was excellent; the events team made our stay memorable. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
The restaurant and bar staff were all caring, friendly, professional and provided a warm attentive service.
I must mention and cannot praise highly enough Amy, Tessi and Tirso who made our restaurant experience so memorable and personal.
The kitchen, my highest compliments, the head chef and his/her team, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner the meals served were all to a high standard and to perfection. My favourites were the salmon gravlax and beef cheek, highly recommended.

We arrived at 1100 to ask if we could leave our bags before check-in. There was another guest there so to be discreet we sat away from them. The check out for this person took about half an hour. After they left other customers had arrived and all of them were seen before us. Only one person on reception and she managed not to see us for almost an hour.

‘Day of the Dead’ Tasting Experience
We attended the ‘Day of the Dead Tasting Experience’ at Malmaison Reading.
The tequila cocktails were excellent, James the bartender did a brilliant job and accommodated a member of our party who doesn’t drink with non-alcoholic versions.
Cancelled event no apology
I booked an event to be held at Malmaison Liverpool via Eventbrite
It was a Charlotte Tilbury masterclass to be held on Sunday at 12.00 noon. Included afternoon tea
3 tickets were booked and I received confirmation on Thursday
On Saturday evening I received an email to say our tickets had been cancelled. The email was received from Malmaison events. No apology Blamed Eventbrite for selling tickets when the event was already sold out
What if i hadn’t checked my email and arrived at the hotel ?
We had arranged a day in Liverpool which was ruined
At the least I would expect a voucher from Malmaison off another event or the offer of money off Afternoon tea at the Hotel
I would avoid this chain of hotels now
Belfast, Manchester Piccadilly and Customer Service 1st Class!!!!
I book rooms at Manchester Piccadilly and Belfast periodically for colleagues. The rooms are nice, the hotels are friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts are first class.
Also, a special shout out to Bruno in Customer Service who helped me with a booking when I was stressed and confused. Massively appreciate his help
Malmaison Brighton are the best
Malmaison Brighton could not have been more wonderful. I arrived stressed and last minute during house renovations, a real mess and they were utterly amazing. They daily gave me great rates. The rooms were consistently clean and well stocked, and all of the staff were kind and helpful, during what has been a really stressful time.

We had a lovely time in York - I would definately recommend Mal Maison York - its in a great location and the room was lovely and clean with Air con which is important in the summer. We had dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning it was good quality and all staff in the hotel were happy to help with any questions we had and their service was great. We will come back again.
Malmaison Hotel Oxford
What a fabulous experience! From the moment we checked in with the lovely lady at reception, every member of staff we encountered was delightful. Special thanks to Callum who really went the extra mile to make our stay so lovely. Our room was beautiful and the hotel totally unique. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful too. Would highly recommend.
Malmaison Birmingham - a jewel of a place
Malmaison Birmingham wonderfully exceeded all my expectations, with a fantastic overnight stay for work recently.
My standard room was upgraded to a junior club suite (think that’s what it was called). I had three large rooms at my disposal including a handy study, huge social space and generously sized bedroom and bathroom.
The products were especially pleasing too and smelt divine.
I liked all the little touches, the coffee machine, quality of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits alongside a well stocked paying bar.
In all, a wonderful short stay in a good location. It will become my go-to place for time on site in Birmingham.

Our waiter who was charming and lovely and and obviously was great at his job. Became a little too familiar and maybe just stepped over the line a little.
But the food was amazing, we had some of the small plates and all delicious.
Aberdeen Hotel experience on non…
Aberdeen Hotel experience on non business related trip was extremely poor, so much so that I shortened my stay from 3 nights to 1. Room was satisfactory but staff were poor with the exception of the night porter. Manageress repeatedly referred to me as ‘dear’ and had a poor attitude. This same attitude was demonstrated by other reception staff and the Breakfast Manager provided no level of service and when I complained simply smiled as if it didn’t matter. The overall experience showed that the staff believed that it was acceptable to provide poor service because residents are staying due to business and are willing to accept less than average standards because they are not paying for it. This was my first and last stay at a Malmaison hotel. I stayed on the weekend of the digital outages in Spain and wanted to pay for some elements of my stay with cash but was told that the hotel didn’t allow cash in any way. Furthermore, I was expected to pay a lump sum up front to put towards any ‘extras’. When I refused, I was charged for my entire stay in advance. In my world, I pay for goods and services once I have experienced them and not in advance when I don’t know what I am paying for. Non residents are also not entitled to pay with cash. A flawed and fragile business model in this world of over reliance on technology. Never again.

Manager was unapologetic when he realised their mistake. Xmas day lunch was extremely poor...I had one carrot as a veg portion. And had a very upset stomach afterwards. Christmas Eve one of my party was taken ill after eating in their restaurant. I just hope they have changed their staff members since then...no one should be treated so disgracefully !
