I've tried several different patterns, hats, bags cardigans, pull overs, hexagon others etc. from the Make and Do Crew, and ALL of them were very easy to understand the written pattern and there is always a resource to watch the actual video tutorial on how to do a stitch or the entire pattern which is great for visual crocheters like me!! Love this website, join the community website its great, lots of people to help if you get stuck and offer helpful tips and tricks to make your crocheting more fun and faster.

Make & Do Crew patterns are expertly written with any level of crocheter in mind. The patterns have great explanations and photos to help guide the project. And when Jess makes a video, she speaks clearly and gives clear instructions.

Not only can you be sure that the patterns are well tested, but you can get support when you have diffuculties understanding (a part of) the pattern.

I don't often write reviews for patterns, but with more and more AI-junk patterns that can not be made, I think I should start doing this more often.
So other people know where it's safe to buy a pattern.
So they don't waste their money on fake designers that use AI to create something that's only made to generate money for them and not to generate a pattern that actually can be used to crochet something.

I have made many M& DC garments and they have all turned out perfectly as they should. I would recommend M&DC to any serious crocheter!

I can’t read a pattern. I can look at pictures and do something that looks similar. I never had the nerve to make something to wear. Make and Do Crew has helped me actually work to a written pattern with videos and consistent help. I now have a beautiful sweater I will be able to wear and that will look great on me

I have purchased a handful of patterns from MD&C over the years and they have all been wonderful experiences. There are often videos for guidance on tricky issues with crochet (like, where in the heck do I put my hook now?) But even more valuable than videos, this company engages with its customers/followers through its community via Raptive where frogging is respectfully encouraged when necessary, humor shared along the way, and success of a finished project is celebrated by all. The free patterns on the blog have saved me many times for last minute gifts and the designs are wonderful.

I started making the Brunch cardigan and found the instructions very confusing. The explanation could have been alot clearer. This was a free pattern but still I shouldn't have to buy the download in hopes that it is alot less confusing. I have made sweaters before and I am not new to crochet, been crocheting for years. Because of the bad experience I had and am having with the pattern I would be afraid to try another one.

Make and Do Crew is my "go to" for all things crochet. Have purchased and made dozens of their patterns. Everything they do is top notch. Patterns are easy to follow and you can reach out for help and get quick support. It is heaven for YARNOPHILES!!!

Make & Do Crew is the best - the most helpful. I have made a number of these patterns and they are all great. I don't recall ever having a problem with any of their patterns, but if I did I would ask for help, and they would be right there. The best!

An unexpected bonus is the supportive online community where we share our work in progress and encouragement. Jess and the team are super accessible if you have a question about a pattern or need a solution. I finished a cardigan and get compliments every time I wear it. Now I am well underway on a DK weight tee that will be perfect for this spring. I wouldn’t have been able to be so successful without the personal support of the M&DC!
