My stay at Maharishi Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh was truly fantastic. Everything — from the food to the yoga lessons and the wonderful people I met during my time there — exceeded my expectations.
I especially enjoyed the early morning pranayama classes and the yoga anatomy sessions conducted by Mr Siddarth, the manager of the school. His lessons helped me understand my body in ways I never had before. He patiently guided both myself and other students on how to approach basic yoga movements correctly, and I genuinely feel that the knowledge I gained from him will stay with me for life.
One of my initial concerns was the food, as I had never gone more than a few days without eating meat. However, I was pleasantly surprised — the meals were absolutely delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The chefs are incredibly talented, and this experience has even inspired me to consider following a satvic diet when I return home.
The location is another major advantage. The school is very close to Laxman Jhula, which makes getting around Rishikesh convenient and enjoyable.
A special mention must go to the front desk staff, Miss Rekha and Miss Megha. They were outstanding throughout my stay — always polite, attentive, and extremely helpful. The level of service they provided was better than what I have experienced in many five-star hotels.
Overall, Maharishi Yoga Peeth was an absolute delight. Part of me almost wanted to keep this place a hidden gem, but the entire team truly deserves recognition. If I could give them six stars, I would without hesitation.

Just completed my 300 hour TTC and just like last year it’s been everything I could have hoped for! The teachers are full of knowledge and very helpful with any questions or guidance. The kitchen staff make wholesome food everyday cooked with love. The staff at the school are always at hand to take care of you and requests. And the owner is close by to give valuable advice and help along the way. It’s a family, and you feel a part of this family from the first moment you arrive and this is what makes the school so special. It’s a life changing experience. if you are considering the course I highly recommend this yoga school.

My 200-hour YTT at Maharishi Yoga Peeth was such a special experience. Everything felt very intentional, from the way the days were structured to the peaceful living space and overall energy of the school. It really gives you the space to slow down, be present, and fully immerse yourself in the practice.

The instructors were incredible and shared their knowledge with so much authenticity and patience. You can truly feel how much they care about each student and their individual journey, which made the experience deeply supportive and transformative.

Practicing in the studio overlooking Mother Ganga is something I will always carry with me. There is such a calm and sacred energy there that naturally draws you inward and makes every practice feel grounding.

Rekha ji and Megha ji go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. You can feel the heart they put into creating a home away from home. The food was amazing, nourishing, and clearly prepared with so much love.

I would absolutely go back again and highly recommend Maharishi Yogapeeth to anyone looking for an authentic training experience. 🤍

My experience at Maharishi Yogapeeth was nothing short of "life-changing". It has helped me find individuality in life.

Before arriving at the school, I expected the "know-how" of yoga asanas and yoga styles throughout the day. I only knew yoga to be a slower and mindful form of exercise.

However, attending the school changed my perspective entirely. I learned through the variety of subjects, such as Yoga Philosophy and Anatomy, that Yoga holds more meaning than simple physical exercise.

The selection of their teachers is outstanding. They have decades of experience, are polite and accommodating of our limited understanding, and go out of their way to explain complex concepts.

The Ashram location overlooks the fierce Ganges River in its full might. The Sunrise and Sunsets from the Yoga Hall and the Rooftop - alone are the biggest advantages of the school! The view is spectacular!

Food served is mainly Sattvik and hence, easily digestible. The administration cares about food allergies and likes/dislikes, and will modify to the preferences of the collective.

Beyond all the points mentioned, the ashram life at Maharishi Yogapeeth follows discipline, and there is no opportunity to procrastinate. That, for me, was a breath of fresh air.

My one-month at Maharishi Yogi Peeth in Rishikesh has completely met my expectations. From the very first day, I felt held in an atmosphere of sincerity, discipline, and deep respect for the ancient yogic tradition.

The teachers are excellent. Each class was taught with patience, clarity, and genuine care for every student’s growth. The emphasis on traditional yoga, mindfulness, and self-discipline has helped to recalibrate my practice, and the introduction to yogic philosophy has made me reflect on the why and not just the how.

Being in Rishikesh, surrounded by the Himalayas and the sacred energy of the Ganga, added a powerful spiritual dimension to the experience. The daily routine, sattvic food, and peaceful environment supported both physical and inner transformation. I arrived seeking knowledge and left with confidence, clarity, and a profound sense of gratitude.

This is not a retreat. Expect a rigorous, no frills schedule in a safe, simple and clean environment, supported by a extraordinarily dedicated management team.

The 300 YTT at Maharishi Yoga Peeth of November 2025 has been a wonderful journey. I could not have dreamt about such a transformative experience and I am sure having made lifelong friends. Sanya, Bert, Akshita and Sonali – thank you for friendship, your kindness and love during these 4 amazing weeks.

Being teached by teachers who live yoga and who are fully embedded in the tradition has given this course a dimension that is unique for me coming from Europe. I was here to understand yoga better and my goal and more is fully accomplished. I call it an immersive experience that will have an impact on the rest of my life.

If I may, regarding 1 point, while mantra chanting is very valuable, I believe there were too many different mantra’s and too much time was spent on pronunciation. This gave less time for the practice of pranayama. We practiced the different techniques, often only once. Some more techniques and more repetition would have been useful.

If Rishikesh is a special place for yoga, the Maharishi Yoga Peet School is the perfect place to practice, learn, hone your skills, and give a strong boost to your yoga journey. The teachers you'll meet are all people who practice this activity with their heart, not only for profession. I personally completed the 200-hour YTT in October 2025 and couldn't be more satisfied. I learned more useful information this month than I could have imagined. The facility facilitates all activities because it has all the necessary spaces and equipment, and the rooms are located in the same building where the activities take place. A special mention goes to Siddhart Ji, the school's director; he is a special person, with an open heart and always ready to instill trust. The atmosphere in the school reflects his thinking and philosophy. In the near future, I will repeat the experience to delve deeper into the topics that have already taken root in me.

Maharishi Yoga Peeth is a home away from home for me. I completed my 200-hour teacher training in April 2024 here, and now I completed the 300-hour course this October 2025. My experiences have given me so much insight and learnings about yoga philosophy, anatomy, Ayurveda, meditation, pranayama, and of course asanas (specifically in Ashtanga and Hatha). I came out of my 200-hour training with so much knowledge that energized me to build and deepen my practice, which then led me to sign up for my 300-hour course this year. The amazing teachers are really why I decided to return here to complete 500 hours. The way they teach enables you not just to become a yoga instructor yourself, but especially helps you learn to be a student in the path of yoga. I’ve learned so many lessons and life advice I will take home with me for as long as I live. There is a lot of intention and thought around the program’s structure. The food is SO delicious, healthy, and vegetarian. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the yoga hall is a beautiful peaceful space for your practice.
Even though I have completed 500 hours training, I know that any time I am in Rishikesh, I will return to Maharishi Yoga Peeth to take drop-in classes or other courses because I truly feel like it’s a second home. The people here are the reason for that feeling!

I spent two unforgettable weeks at Maharishi Yoga Peeth. I wish I could have stayed the full month to complete the 200-hour YTTC, but even completing the 100 hours was deeply transformative.

During my time there, I finally understood what the true essence of yoga is — something that goes far beyond the asanas. Through the daily asana practices, mantra chanting, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, and all the teachings, I began to truly connect with myself on a deeper level — physically, mentally, and spiritually — and feel far more grounded. I also formed a beautiful bond with the wonderful group of people I shared this journey with.

The yogic diet was mind-blowing — besides being delicious, I have never felt so well in my body and mind. The staff were always kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. The teachers were truly knowledgeable, and Sidharth Ji was incredibly inspiring.

Practicing yoga in the beautiful hall overlooking the Ganga River, witnessing the most stunning sunsets, was simply magical. I’m already thinking about when I can return to complete the journey I started there. I feel deeply grateful to everyone at Maharishi Yoga Peeth for creating such a special place. The place is beautiful located at the ganga river. The staff are very nice ready to help and very understanding! I did the yin yoga course and the teacher were very trustworthy i learned alot!

I completed the 200 hour course and throughly enjoyed it and highly recommend. Yoga asana practice was very thorough and rigorous and everyone loved the teachers; they really know what they are doing and I feel they are best yoga teachers I’ve ever had. There is so much more to the course though. Every class throughout the course continued to deepen my curiosity, interest and knowledge in the various ‘limbs’ of yoga. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn with also which enhanced the experience. We were all kept informed and on point throughout and encouraged to do our best so we get the best out of the teaching. The environment was very conducive to learning also with dedicated and friendly staff and teachers. We were all looking out for one another but simultaneously encouraged to be independent and focus on number one to get the best experience for you. My room was comfortable and facilities were fine. I loved the food and canteen arrangement. I’m certain you will definitely learn a lot of practical knowledge that you can carry forward into your professional and personal life as well as learn a lot about yourself and the world we live in and it will reinforce your resolve to become a more healthy, open and positive person in general. So many nice memories. The location is totally authentic and this alone has its own story but as for learning what real yoga is you can’t go wrong here. Everyone on the course were genuinely delighted to have had this experience.

Every single person in the school from the Director to the teachers and all the staffs members were beautiful, kind, helpful, wise and amazing.
