Absolutely fantastic property, well equipped, warm and cosy, perfect for a hen do! 20 of us slept comfortably in this house and the host was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We had a great weekend celebrating my husband’s and his twin brother’s 70th birthday here. We highly recommend it. As others have commented the kitchen area was perfect for gathering together, coffee machine was excellent. The place was well equipped. We used the hot tub which was great. Neil’s communication was quick and helpful.

Had the house for my birthday weekend. 21 of us. An amazing house in an idyllic village. House was clean, plenty of pots, pans, plates to cater for everyone. Special mention to the coffee machine too! Kitchen diner is a great spot to congregate, living rooms were cosy. Bought some wood locally and had the fire burner going. Bedrooms huge, plenty of space, enough bathrooms for everyone to share.
Close to railway station, pub/restaurant around the corner and a little village shop across the road if you forget anything. Hot tub was also great. Not the weather for available bbq but I’m sure that terrace would be amazing in the summer.

20 of us stayed at Turnberry House for a friends 50th Birthday (a mixture of couples & singles aged from 21 to 57).

We were blown away with the beautiful house, its excellent facilities, the cleanliness and the homely atmosphere.

The house is spacious enough for a large group to tail off into various areas. From a comfortable warm living room, a snooker room and bar for a party atmosphere, the two hot tubs to chill or the table tennis room for games, the variety is great.

Both hot tubs were nice and hot (it was snowing whilst we were there), the bar area is really well equipped with fridges and optics. You sink into the comfortable sofas in the living room and the kitchen was really well equipped, so we could prepare our group meals with ease. Two dining tables allowed us all to dine together and the sky sports was very popular too.

Keith and Neil were on hand to ensure our trip was planned well and I knew if there were any issues, they would be dealt with immediately.

The secure gates provided a safe environment and the 10 bedrooms all had en-suites.

I would 100% recommend this luxury stay to those looking for a homely vibe, with brilliant facilities which means you don’t have to leave the property. Turnberry House is so well equipped, providing entertainment for various ages and we will hopefully return again in the future.

Eighteen of us had the most wonderful stay at the Old Vicarage. The house is huge, spotlessly clean, and all the rooms as well as the kitchen are beautifully furnished and equipped, giving it a very luxurious and modern feel. We loved the hot tub, too! The gardens and the surrounding area are gorgeous and the station is very nearby. Neil is a very attentive host, and responded to any questions we had very quickly. Couldn’t recommend this house more highly for a fantastic group stay.

Just back from a weekend stay at Turnberry House. The house is even better in real life, the garden is great even for a party size of 16! Neil was great from answering any questions, booking the stay and on hand if l had any questions. If you are thinking of booking l would highly recommend!

We have just stayed at The Old Vicarage for a family celebration, Golden Wedding. The house is beautiful, spacious and amazing for hide and seek which the children loved!
We had 16 guests in total and everyone agreed that it was perfect. The house had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay and Neil has been a wonderful host. 2 minute walk from pubs and train station with easy access to many places. Would 100% recommend and use again in the future.

I booked The Old Vicarage for my wedding weekend. We were absolutely blown away by how gorgeous the house is, every single guest said how beautiful it was. Very spacious with all amenities you could wish for (including a hot tub which was perfect for a weekend of sunny weather). Neil and Louise were the perfect hosts - getting back promptly to any questions I had ahead of our stay and also ensuring we had everything we needed. It really made our weekend extra special - thank you so much!

We have just had the most amazing weekend stay at The Old Vicarage.

The house is spectacular, it had everything we needed to celebrate a fabulous hen party.

The building, gardens and rooms are all beautiful and the bedrooms were huge with the most comfortable beds.

Every single one of us could not pick fault with this gem of a house.

Neil kept us well informed and was easy to reach if we needed anything.

I don’t think I could have picked a more perfect place.

We have just returned from a fantastic family get together to celebrate two significant birthdays. The Old Vicarage at Ovingham was even better than we hoped, there was every amenity you could wish for...a superb kitchen, several lounges with extremely comfy sofas, enormous bedrooms, sparkling bathrooms and very well maintained gardens. Our six grandchildren, aged one to 14 years delighted in the hot tub, playroom, gym equipment, large television and piano!..something for everyone whatever the age. Nearby there were two pubs and a well-stocked general store, stunning riverside walks along the Tyne, and easy, frequent (and inexpensive) access into Newcastle centre from Prudhoe station a mere 5 minutes walk away. Our host Neil was very attentive and swift to answer any queries. This is 5star accommodation and facilities, and I would whole heartily recommend it.

What a fantastic place to stay! The kitchen/dining area is absolutely amazing and perfect for our big group of 18 (hen weekend) - we hung out in there most of the weekend cooking, eating, drinking and playing games. Lots of space for anyone who wanted to chill out in another room for a little bit too. The host Neil is great, so helpful and very relaxed, he was able to accommodate a few of our extra requests too which was very much appreciated. It really is a fabulous house and we will definitely be rebooking in the future with our kids!

This is a very special place. Big enough for a large family party, comfortable, spacious and in a perfect spot. A lovely village on the Tyne with a friendly pub nearby, good walks from the door and lovely views. The house is really well supplied and with enough areas to be together or chill out in your own space. Really helpful information given before and during our stay. Really good transport links too. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Old Vicarage Ovingham is a wonderful place to stay.We had a family celebration for my husbands 70th birthday for 18 people between the ages of 4 months and 70 years.Everything was fantastic Neil the owner was so helpful.We will be going back.Fabulous place.

A group of 15 of us stayed at the Old Vicarage and it was perfect in every way. The property was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for such a large group. It was also in great proximity to the railway station at Prudhoe, which was handy for arriving to the property and getting into Newcastle. Neil was a great host and I would highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here for my friends hen party. It was perfect! House was stunning. So big and spacious. Everything in it you need. Beautiful surroundings, great location. Neil was a great host. 100% recommend.

Great accomodation. Was exactly as it said on the tin!! 17 of us had the most wholesome time together, hot tub was a great success and the kitchen dining area was a great space to wine and dine. We walked into Wylam and took the train back into Ovingham which was a stone throw away. Brilliant weekend and Neil was an excellent host.
