I hired Long Distance Movers, Inc. in July 2017 to move my one-bedroom apartment. The Binding Moving Estimate included up to 2000 pounds of items. I compiled an extremely detailed inventory of our things (we don't have a lot of possessions) and weighed each item/box. We were under the weight by approx. 800 pounds. Long Distance Movers had my list in early July and again four days before the move (on Oct. 3). At no point did any employee of LDM say that any of my items would require an additional payment. They sent a third-party company to pick up my things. My sister was there with my inventory list and the movers left her a copy of their inventory list that they compiled as they loaded my things on the truck. Those two lists match (save for some small differences in wording - "plastic tote" instead of "plastic box", for example. Five hours after they left, I received a text message from the contractor, Integrated Moving Solutions, Inc, saying that I owed them an extra $686 dollars because they collected "10 extra items". When I asked what items they were referring to, they only said "suitcases and kitchen stools". Those suitcases and kitchen stools were on my inventory list. When I contacted Long Distance Movers the next Monday, they said that I signed off on a Binding Moving Estimate that contained a very different inventory list on Oct. 4. This is a complete lie. They had my inventory list on Oct 3 and I can't be held liable for them not transmitting that list properly to their contractors.

Update: Hilarious, now they are claiming I reviewed the wrong business (see below). The names on the contracts and the engagement letter my lawyer sent them back in 2017 prove otherwise!. For anyone reading this, if there is any doubt which company I dealt with, here are the details:

I will never be afraid of relocations. Finally, I have a lasting solution to moving. Whenever in need of moving services, I will simply approach Long Distance Movers. I am sure they will handle the relocation properly because the last experience I had with them was such a wonderful one. I urge them to keep up the good work.

After talking to a few moving companies, I decided to go with these guys. I am so glad that I chose them. Dan, provided me with all the options, competitive rates and he was always ready to adjust the schedule of pick and delivery to my needs. Daniel and Alex came at the exact time promised to me, wrapped and packed everything very neatly and did a great job overall. I will always remember this moving as it was a pleasant experience. Thank you so much.

I've spent a few years in LA it I was finally getting tired of it. Tired of the people and how expensive it is mainly. So it was back to the midwest for me and Long Distance Movers was the place that helped make it happen! They worked within what I could afford and helped me find ways to save. I packed as much as I could but then I had them handle the rest. The movers arrived with boxes, tape and wrapping stuff in hand. They went through each box with me and labeled it for me. It didn't think that part was very necessary but when it came to unpacking I realized how easy it made it. That was a great touch that I haven't seen other moving places do before. From LA to just outside of Columbus this was a move made easy.

These guys came to my rescue. I had too much to pack and I was feeling like I was in over my head. Some of the moving companies I called that provide full service packing cost a crazy amount! LDM proved to be a an option where i could get more for my money. Their team helped get my things to New Jersey. They packed, wrapped, labeled, the works!
The price that they gave in the beginning after we created a check list of my things didn't change. It stayed the same. What a relief to find these guys.

We recently opened another company location in New York and we needed all of our extra items from our original office shipped to NY.
Long Distance Movers was chosen based on the estimate they gave us, the fact that they had a team that could help pack, and how soon they were able to start the move. They were available the soonest and gave us a estimate that was right up our alley. The team was spot on when it came to service! Many of the things we were shipping were software, computers, expensive items that needed to be handled with care. Their movers listened to everything we had to tell them and handled themselves professionally.

They were very skilled in most all areas of moving! Easy to work with and not pushy at all. I started off by checking out their website. Got a great price after I called that was very competitive compared to the spots I called before them. I had a ton of packing and it was becoming very overwhelming. Speaking with one of their representatives they offered to relieve some of the stress by having their movers help with the packing (additional fee of course). This ended up being well worth the money. The moving guys were cool in person and very cheerful. They kept things positive and moved quick. Within a few days I was getting settled in my new apartment in West Virginia and excited to start my new job out here. When I arrived the movers took extra time to put things where I wanted it.I was honestly expecting them to just drop stuff off and leave. It was pretty refreshing to see hard work til the very end. This business was certainly money well spent. Can’t say I’ve actually ever had a good moving experience like this before. I’m glad I trusted them to make it happen.

From Chicago To Dallas the move was solid. Basically started off by searching long distance movers in the Chicago area online and they were one of the first to appear. They’ve seem to have done quite a few moves and I read some pretty good things on them. You’re able to get a quote off their website which was easy. The quote was very reasonable so I gave them a call from there. They helped with both packing and unpacking when I arrived in Dallas later that week. Staff was friendly and easy to work with.They got the job done and I barely lifted a finger. Which kinda was the goal all along haha. Thank You Gentlemen!

Rates were decent. The service was great though. Barely lifted a finger and they kept me in the loop through out the whole thing. You just pay in the beginning and that’s it. 5 stars because their service was worth the price.

Long Distance Movers is a fraudulent company. They gave us a time span, which was slightly narrower than others, which is why I chose them. They are now not honoring that contract and will not deliver within the time frame originally agreed upon. Furthermore, the agents are not helpful, some lie and some are outright rude, and seem to have no connection with the drivers or the movers. They also charged my credit card additional fees without notifying me or sending me any sort of invoice or receipt. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

Not sure how I found them but called for a quote to move my condo from Philadelphia to San Diego and talked to Mark K. He was great, as a matter of fact he was so great I got suspicious. As it turned out he was really great. They were amazing. Every step of the way went so perfect I kept getting nervous something was going to go wrong. Again I was wrong and everything went perfectly. The crew that came to pack up were probably the nicest group of guys I could have wished for. They were efficient, careful, organized and as a bonus fun to work with.
So they packed up on Monday and Tuesday and delivery was supposed to be the following week on Wednesday. I flew to San Diego to find my condo not even close to being ready for the delivery. I called Mark and again, no problem. They held my stuff and could not have been more accommodating and understanding.
Now for my car. I also needed that to be shipped. Called Mark, got a pickup date I wanted and a week later my car arrived in San Diego. Now on the other hand my son called DAS who picked up his car and had it in PA for over a month, wouldn't answer the phone and when they did they hung up on him. They finally told him it might be another month or two before they could get it to San Diego. I called Mark and said HELP. Two days later we got a release from DAS, Mark had the car picked up from where they were holding it and a week later my son had his car.
They say moving is one of the most stressful things you can do and it is probably true, however, these guys gave me zero stress and were a pleasure to deal with. Sometime I guess if things seem to good to be true you just have to sit back and enjoy it.
Trust me 5 stars is not enough.
