do not ever ever ever deal with this company as they are nothing but a bunch of thieves who prey on individuals who are struggling in debt. At a moment in life when I was deep in debt I had asked for a loan which they denied but explained to me about a secured loan where I would pay into it for 24 month, earn some interest and that they would also bring my credit rating up by reporting to the credit bureau. due to an emergency 5 months before my loan was supposed to be released I had asked them to return the funds. at which the agent and the manager who are heartless ppl by the way kept saying that I should have read the contract and that they couldn't release the funds. up until today my credit rating hasn't gone up or improved and then they say that there will be a 400$ admin fee for doing absolutely nothing for me and on top of that charge me interest in the amt of 39% and guess the amt of interest I will be earning? 1.5%!!! not even banks take advantage of you like this. so none of this is explained initially and when brought up they go through the same old excuse "Didn't you read the contract???" even if you are dying and are in need of your funds they will still hold it hostage trying to milk you of every single cent of interest and their only response would be a cold hearted you have to make other arraingements. DO NOT ...i implore you no matter how much you are in debt ... DO NOT ever deal with this company as they stand to benefit from your despair. and if you sign that contract you are making a deal that is worse than signing with the devil.

Update: just to give you an example of how they are stealing your hard earned money.
I am paying 77.94$ bi weekly since aug 26, 2016 for a supposed secured loan of 2000$.
Aug 30th and I'm yet to receive my chq a year in advance but for the paltry sum of 1600$. But the will still keep taking money out until Aug 2019. As per my calculations over 3 years that's 156 weeks so biweekly that's 78 times they will be taking out 77.94$ and that comes to 6079.32$. So they stand to profit an amt of 4479.32$ . And how do they sleep at night after pulling of such a crime??? PEACEFULLY WITH NO REGRETS!!!

I was so happy i was preapproved as i needed the loan for an emergency. After sending all the required documents and other needed information, nothing happened. No information or communication for a fee days so i asked Nihdi whats taking so long for the fund to be releases. It turned out they declined my application after approving it in the first place. I wouldnt recommend

Loan away has been amazing to me I’ve had a loan out for a year and a half now. when I needed help and couldn’t get help anywhere else they did ! The only reason I gave a 4 star review was because I’ve always made my payments on time but my interest hasn’t gone down when I reloan also they don’t report to the credit bureau Wich I was told at the beginning they did Other than that their great

No hassle, quick application, and customer service is helpful. I was not able to pay back on time because of my illness, so collector office workers were understanding and developed a schedule to give me a little bit more time to pay. Saved my life, thanks

This company created a fake Facebook profile to hunt down someone who owed them money and began spamming and everyone else on this person's Facebook friends list. This is so shockingly illegal that when I reported it to the Canadian consumer protection authorities, they were absolutely stunned. They gave out confidential information about him in the instant messenger and then on the phone they gave me more personal info. I don't even know this person, he is an extremely casual acquaintance. And I don't even live in Canada, I'm in the Southern US. I called the company first and was told it would never have happened if this person was reachable. That was their only explanation. No apologies and lead me to believe they would keep harassing me until they reached him... Wt... I don't have a way to reach this person either. Why am I involved whatsoever. I got so upset on the phone I started cursing and the girl laughed at me and said good luck making them stop. Are you kidding me????

I am really upset! I applied online as they offer, received a pre approval, then send more requested documents! Received another approval for a bigger amount! Then needed to send in ore documents just to be declined after a full week of giving them all my information? I am not a bad credit person, just struggled the past year due to cancer! Wish they would not mislead people and play them around! Do not pre approve then deny! Sad sad business!
And now I am told I am not a real customer? Give me a break!

I have bad credit, so interest getting a loan is harder for me. Don't complain about the interest because you are the person who needs the money. If you want a cheap loan, you shouldn't ruined your credit. It didn't take hours to get the loan liked promised, but I eventually got the loan.

The credit insurance on the loan would have been more than the loan if the loan was taken to term...

I questioned Loan Away on this and received no response so I didn't take out that particular loan. It seems Loan Away didn't want to discuss options around the insurance or its cost...

Stay away from these guys...there are better alternatives that aren't as expensive and don't tie your hands with the outrageously expensive insurance that they probably get a commission on.

As someone who's made a couple of mistakes in the past when it comes to managing my accounts, I got stuck with a credit rating no one would be happy with.

Loan Away was cool to deal with because they not only gave me the financial help I was looking for, but the interest rate was a lot more reasonable than what you'd expect from a payday loan place (stay away from those).

While I understand that a lot of reviewers are upset about the NSF fees they got charged, they clearly state that you'll be paying them on any cheques that don't go through.

Because of this help, my credit is beginning to recover and if I take out another loan, I should be in pretty good shape in another 7 months from now.

The sign-up process wasn't difficult & the customer services was good. The only complaint is that I wasn't able to pay when I felt comfortable. I wanted to extend my payments for 10 years & they won't let me. They didn't have a good reason other than, "our policy wouldn't let us",

Overall, they aren't bad & one of the lowest interest rates I could find in Toronto

The manager of customer service called me explaining the why they cannot extend the pay period to 10 years. I was offered many different options to help ease the payments. Still not exactly what I wanted, but since they cared enough to find a solution, that deserves five stars.
