Student deductions not paid to HMRC
I highly recommend never using Links Recruitment . They took student loans deductions from me using payroll company Platinum for the previous tax year and never paid them to HMRC. Links recruitment keep telling me it’s not their problem and told me that I have to contact Platinum….I notified them in April and it’s still not rectified and they keep fobbing me off, saying they’ll update me and then ignore my emails when they don’t provide an update 🥴.
Oh and their payroll company broke gdpr by sending 5 different peoples p60s to me 🙃
Edited to include email from HMRC/student loans wales confirming they have not received deductions that were taken from my wages.
“ HMRC have advised they are unable to trace any repayments taken by your employer in 2021-22.
We would request you send in a copy of your p60 to investigate this.
The address to send to is
Student Loans Company

G2 7JD
Please include a cover letter with your customer reference number.”

Our original response has been edited to provide feedback to your complaint.
This evening our payroll partner has provided evidence that the student loans have been paid. You have been advised that HMRC has this detail and it is now in their hands to update.
You state that everyone was unwilling to help, but upon review of multiple comms between you and LINKS, the team have responded to your queries in timely and professional manner.
The LINKS team were correct to advise they could only help to a certain point, therefore your expectations of what you wanted from them was not achievable. You were however guided in the right direction multiple times.
The matter is now closed our side, I would suggest you contact HMRC and I am sure they can assist you to the point of resolve.

HMRC have requested you take action by issuing them with a P60, you will also be emailed supporting evidence from LINKS which can be issued to HMRC. This will and should resolve the matter.

I have been working for Links for 3 months now. Always paid on time and Gemma in payroll is very helpful. Alan in Cardiff is a huge help when no-one else can help or it's somebody's day off. I can always rely on him to book my shifts and get things done. Thanks Alan.
