Lick was founded in 2019 by Lucas London and Sam Bradley - both experienced startup entrepreneurs. The business has raised over $29m since inception. Speedy delivery of samples
The samples where delivered very quickly, I chose 4 different shades of pink before deciding on number 3 and purchased the paint and accessories from my local B&Q. The paint was a dream to work with as dried down quickly so I didn’t have to wait to apply the second coat. Absolutely beautiful quality and finish and will definitely be buying more from lick for the rest of my home x

Amazing paint already planning the next room!
Firstly loved the website and paint colour images, on receipt delivery was great, earlier than expected, the packaging was extremely impressive all recyclable.
Paint tins packaged well, decorating kit to include recyclable paint tray was really good value for money, used the paint tray for the first mist coat and was a bit wary it may not retain its structure with the runny paint but it was fine. Mist coat coverage was impressive and only took one coat to cover. Pigment density is unreal used black no1 and white no1 and love the effect so far. Really pleased with the paint and already see a benefit vs farrow and ball in terms of marking. The scribble extra was well worth the money as we are laying a floor there at the moment and have knocked the walls a couple of times and no marks. I should also say spot touch ups are invisible, which I say is better than f&b performance.

Shade compares to a bare plastered wall
Through no fault of the company, we really dislike the colour - people who have visited the house instantly commented assuming our wall had been recently plastered because of the colour. They are absolutely right, and because of this, we will not keep the wall colour and will be choosing another colour instead. Such a shame as we had our hopes up and didn’t feel this based on the colour sample we had up for weeks - it’s only as the whole wall was painted it became apparent.

Colour can sometimes appear quite different when applied across a larger surface, as lighting, surrounding décor, and scale all play a part in how it’s perceived. We completely understand how disappointing this must be after the time and effort you’ve put into painting your space.
