Someone had crossed out my delivery address and sent it to the billing address instead. Maybe there is a reason behind this but I wasn't happy about it

We had such a fantastic experience at Leylands SDM on Harrow Road thanks to Karen. When we first moved into our new house, Karen helped us with our paint testers and was so knowledgeable and supportive. Now that we’ve decided on our final colours, we went back to purchase the paint and to our delight, Karen remembered us and our project!
She was genuinely invested in our decorating journey, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We left the store feeling even more excited and confident about our home transformation.
Karen is a real credit to the company and absolutely deserves recognition for her outstanding service. Thank you, Karen, for making this experience so enjoyable!

Genius paint-mixing maestro Thomas at Leyland's Hackney, Dalston branch in London conjured up the exact same colour of paint supplied by the branch 20 years earlier - despite the IT system claiming the dark green colour code given was no longer available in Leyland Trade smooth masonry versions.
Where less experienced staff were bewildered when shown the old tin of paint and chose to believe the computer over their own eyes, Thomas used that thing called gumption to put artificial "intelligence" in its place.
If only there were more like Thomas - everywhere, instead of the ignorant robot speak customer "service" we all receive everyday everywhere!
Six out of five stars.

Is it any wonder we have taken to online shopping?
Yesterday I went to Leyland's and nothing was too much trouble. The salesman chatted, asked me questions about what I was buying and helped me make good decisions.
Today in the same store, different sales person, when I asked a question it was a straight forward snapped response "we cant do that, who told you we can do that" Obviously everything is too much trouble.
I suppose that having placed my order he knew I wouldn't just walk out (well I could have) but why do we need surly customer facing people?

Firstly I think the service at Leyland is very good. My review is related to trade accounts. Signing up process is not easy. As an account holder, you need to spend £100 per week in order to benefit from any trade offers. This is not a monthly figure eg. Spending £1000 one week still means you have to spend a minimum of £100 the other weeks to qualify for the trade discounts. The security is the most frustrating thing about the trade account. You need to provide an account number, then a password, then have to be one of the pre authorised persons on the account, and now a signatory will get a SMS to confirm the transaction is correct. It doesn’t matter if you have a credit or cash account. Unfortunately there is very little insensitive to have this account apart from digital receipts. For our small business needs, this is overkill so we will be closing our account down but for big companies this might give better control of managing misuse so long you have someone always around to respond to the authorisation message. If not the job will not be progressing.

Very quick delivery of the item ordered. Arrived next day when I was expecting 3-5 days. Item was exactly as described on the website.

I needed help with buying a drill. The person was helpful but when I got home, the only drill bit I purchased didn't fit in the drill.. big waste of time, easily avoided with better knowledge.
I then went to return it without my receipt but the transaction on my phone. This was rejected, and the employee, Agnieska started to call me names and said no one would serve me, and I could wait a week to speak with a manager ( all paraphrasing). In short, after barraging me with things I won't repeat, I would say, use the independent hardware store one block away or the tool station, where all receipts are on file. Tool station has a large selction at much better prices. I paid 1/2 the price for a drill that is a better brand, and the drill bit fit.

The one star is for their website. It is catastrophically slow & has been like that for years despite the company claiming this is being fixed. Edit: so Leyland replied: 'Thanks for your feedback, we will pass this on.' - but they said this years ago & nothing ever changed.

The managers in Leyland are awful
They need to be replaced with nicer staff.
Disgusting how they treat staff. They claim to care about your mental health but they don't. I will never buy anything from leyland and I would not recommend them. Go somewhere else where staff get treated better.
