As a business owner you know the importance of reviews. Of course we want to hear great reviews, but we are always open to reviews with issues, but to be fair, those reviews have complete, honest information.
We feel your 3 star review is lacking very pertinent information!
You are correct - you did order almost 2 weeks prior to your order being shipped.
*You left out the part where we requested better artwork than the scan that was uploaded with the order and 4 days and 2 email requests later we received new art and were able to email you a Proof for approval.
*Once we received the proper artwork we promptly emailed you a PDF proof - which stated our turn times were approximately 7-10 business days. This information was also given to you over the phone when you called prior to placing your order.
*Two days after the proof was approved you contacted us asking for tracking information and told us you "assumed" it shipped the day after it was approved. Even though you had been informed of our turn time.
*We informed you your order would ship Wednesday, October 30th.
*On Wednesday, October 30th you asked again for tracking and date of arrival. We informed you your order would indeed ship that day (Wednesday, 10/30).
*You proceeded to tell us: "These envelopes will be irrelevant to my customer if not here by Friday so how can we make sure they are here?". This is the 1st we heard of a deadline.
*We gave you expedited freight options with delivery times. Your response was "Gotcha! Thank you". Then within an hour we receive a 3 star review!
*Once the proof was approved we scheduled your order, printed and shipped within 6 days- fewer than what we quoted.
We appreciate the verbal 5 stars on communication and attentiveness, but we do not think a 3 star review is fair because of your choice to ignore the turn times you were given on more than one occasion.

Unusable Envelopes
Our shipment arrived in a box that was messed up and half the envelopes were crumpled and unusable. Because we had thrown out the box the envelopes arrived in, Letter Jacket would not send us new envelopes. We have never had this issue with other companies when products arrived in this kind of shape. It was disappointing and we won't be using this company again.

We love to hear from our customers with praise and issues, but we do ask that your review is fair.
We appreciate that you informed us via email that you had an issue with the delivery of your envelopes. Any damage to your package should be recorded with photos and if possible recorded with the delivery person. Damaged packaging and/or product should not be discarded. We cannot file a claim with the carrier without showing the damage.
Your email informed us that approximately 100 envelopes were damaged, not 1/2 your order, per the photo you sent us.
Our last email to you asked for more information about the issue, we did not consider the issue to be closed. At no time did we say we would not replace envelopes or issue a credit for the damaged envelopes, but for us to do so we need to be able to supply the carrier with proof of damage. If I walk into the carrier and say: "You damaged a package that I had sent to my customer, please pay me for it.", do you think they are going to do that without proper documentation?
Great job on some 9x12 Catalog Envelopes
I ordered some envelopes and the price was reasonable and the shipping was pretty quick too. I'll definately use Letter Jacket again in the future.

Proofs, size and color.
I would request that when proofs are sent, they come as viewed on an actual envelope size. It is hard to tell the size when just viewing the proof alone and not on the actual return address. Mine turned out too big, but they will do for now. Also, I would suggest that the website list pricing for additional colors. I had to pay twice because the website couldn't calculate the color choices that I needed for my logo.
All in all, quick turn around, professional employees, and a satisfied customer because I'm not going to worry about what is done.

Regarding the 2 issues you referenced:
a.)
We do email proofs as the actual size of the envelope ordered. Please make sure when the Print Box opens that you are printing to Actual Size - there is generally a setting on the Print Box for this that needs to be checked or it will not print to actual size. You ordered a 10 x 13 envelope so your printer/copier will need to be able to print this on an 11 x 17 sheet to print the actual size of the envelope. If you can't do this - please make sure when reviewing the PDF proof that the size is set to 100%.
b.)
Additional Colors. Your artwork was CMTY-4 Color, but when you placed your order it was only for 2 Color Printing.
The website does not give the option to print CMYK-4 Color on 10 x 13 envelopes (and a few other items as well) because there are limitations to printing CMYK-4 Color on these sizes.
This does not mean it cannot be done, but we would need to see the artwork on a case by case basis to determine if we can print CMYK-4 Color on a particular item.
We would need to create the order for you and add it to your account.

Offering Envelopes Order
We have ordered our offering envelopes from Letter Jacket for several years. This last order was not the same quality we've been accustomed to. In one area the ink was a different color and the printing overall was much lighter in color, less sharp. The paper felt a little thinner and less opaque. And then our logo was a different color than it had been previously. This was on a reprint of the same order we've been getting for several years. Letter Jacket has always done a great job and I hate to even leave this review here! I'd love to be able to come back and leave a 5 star review!
