We found our son’s English tutor, Elizabeth Cokery, through LessonWise and honestly couldn’t be more grateful. Elizabeth has been absolutely fantastic. Patient supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping him succeed. His confidence and skills improved so much during his time with her. We would highly recommend both Elizabeth and the LessonWise platform to anyone looking for quality tutoring support.

I worked with Lesson Wise and came away feeling disappointed by how little value is placed on experienced teaching professionals within some areas of the online education sector.

My experience was that highly skilled educators are often expected to provide an exceptional level of service while receiving low pay and limited professional respect in return. In my opinion, this model is unsustainable. Quality teaching requires investment in qualified professionals, fair compensation, and functioning educational systems.

Recently, I was invited to attend specialist human rights and investigations training connected to international criminal court work in Nuremberg by respected leaders in the fields of human rights, education, and psychology — individuals recognised with honours such as OBE and MBE for their contributions. That experience reminded me what professional recognition and respect for expertise should look like.

By contrast, my experience in parts of the online teaching industry left me feeling undervalued. I also found aspects of the platform and teaching systems ineffective for both educators and learners, with technical and organisational issues negatively affecting the learning experience.

I have now chosen to leave teaching within this sector and move into international human rights and investigative work, where specialist skills, commitment, and experience are better recognised.

My advice to education platforms is simple:

* Pay teachers fairly.
* Reduce excessive commission structures.
* Improve platform functionality.
* Recognise that educational quality depends on the professionals delivering it.

Without experienced teaching staff, these platforms cannot succeed long term.

Excellent tuition provider, with a quality service, and incredibly helpful staff who are always happy to answer questions. The students are fantastic to support, and easy to communicate with.

Amazed by the customer service team both Jessica and Jon have been so prompt for dealing with any technical or delay in lessons. They are supportive and as a tutor it's a privilege to support students increasing the standards in the level of teaching with the support. I truly recommend .

I was looking for an A level History tutor for my granddaughter, so I started trawling through the businesses that provided this service. Nick from Lessonwise was so very helpful right from the start, answering all of my questions comprehensively and with expertise. He found us the tutor, Bernard who came with excellent qualifications. Before we committed to anything however, my granddaughter received a free 30 minute zoom call from Bernard, during which time she was able to decide if she felt comfortable with him. She definitely did and so far she has had 4 highly successful lessons, with her grades improving considerably. Apart from tge actual lessons, I have been very impressed by the level of service behind the scenes. Eisha is a contact for me, should I have any questions and with whom I had a zoom call before any lessons began, just to explain how the system works. Both my granddaughter and I have access to the recorded lessons (which safeguards both pupil and tutor), we can see results and send messages to Bernard. We are both delighted that we chose Lessonwise and would wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone looking for a tutor: very good value for money!

I’ve been a tutor with Lessonwise for a good few years now and they are a wonderful company to work for. They pay their tutors fairly and their communication teams is always on it! The platform links up students with Tutors. The hourly rate is pretty good and getting students on the platform is really fast as well

I was tutored by Dr. Natasha March in politics, I loved her as my tutor and enjoyed our lessons not only in academia but also on the wider implications of what we learned in the curriculum. Good experience overall, my queries were always answered quickly, Sreeya the academic advisor is lovely, only wish there was a more convenient line of communication.

My child had a horrible experience

Very poor experience. The lack of professionalism was disturbing. We now have hired a tutor elsewhere.

I was tutored by Asha for A-Level mathematics and physics. She was incredibly helpful and provided help quickly to questions I had out of lesson.

Helped me son to go from grade 1 to grade 5 in English within four weeks! Amazing!! Jade!

I booked 10 lessons for my 15 year old son as he was struggling with his Maths. Otis listened to what I wanted from a maths tutor and he really listened to what was required. He round a lovely lady called Keer, my son says she explains things in a way he understand. He was on foundation paper and now will be completing the higher paper with a much higher expected grade . Thank you for all your help and understanding.
