I was introduced to lendwithcare by my partner. I haven't invested much and I add a little when I can. Yes there's been a little lost on repayments (due to exchange rate at the time). ,but it's been pennies really.
I fully enjoy lending to entrepreneurs who have a drive to do better, not only their lives but the community around them.
Micro loaning is an excellent idea. It means I can help in the little way that I can and with many others we can chip in and lend to these entrepreneur
Let's make others dreams come true with a little bit of help.
Great idea, with stats to keep you up to date on who and how many have been helped through a particular loan. Very gratifying. GIVE IT A THOUGHT AT LEAST PEOPLE

Always good to make a loan to deserving entrepreneur in need of help. Happy with experience, I've been doing it on behalf of a group of ladies since 2013! Only downside is it's difficult to log out!

When I first came across Lenwithcare, I though of the proverb, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. " I have made a number of small loans and it is really rewarding when you get an email saying that a certain person or group have successfully paid back their loan, as this means they are now operating their business. I love that I can recycle my loans to use them for someone else, once repaid, and that I can make voluntary additional contributions to the running of the charity if I wish. There are so many loan sharks in developing countries that it is good to support ethical lending instead, as people try to better their lives without getting caught in a high interest trap. I hope to support this charity for a long time to come. You lend with a return of 0% interest, but 100% satisfaction that you are doing something worthwhile.

I don’t understand all these mentions of ‘Lending Partners’… what is a ‘Lending Partner’? I don’t want to give money to a ‘Lending Partner’ - I want to give it directly to a person trying to start a small, struggling, ethical business. There is no mention of these mysterious ‘Lending Partners’ on your glossy advertisement.

Lendwithcare is a wonderful idea. I don't have a lot of spare money but last year I managed to rake up £15. I first loaned this to a tailor in Pakistan and now it is with some farmers who want to install a solar powered pump which will allow them to water their crops regularly and increase the yields. When they pay the loan back, I'll lend the same £15 to someone else. It's wonderful that the same £15 can be used over and over again to improve the lives of people around the world.

i have been lending money through Lend with Care for years and am happy to continue to do so. Just shows how a lot of people lending a small amount (which you eventually get back) can do to transform people's lives.

The whole experience has been amazing, from IT to the report of what happen to the money I so kindly gave to individuals. I would be more than happy for ever xx

I don’t want to hear excuses in what the going rate is, there’s people out there that would happily do that job for far less and the difference in that salary could be better put to good use to help thousands more

An excellent idea to spread my relative wealth and born privilege to hardworking people and projects around the world.

With rising costs in the UK, paying bills is more difficult - but I’ll always have a home and security and am so happy to share that and make other’s lives and rise to success easier. A simple win and I recommend.

I’m only on my second loan but see repayments come back (albeit that’s not the point).

I have supported Lend With Care for many years now, and am really happy to do so. It’s an easy way to help make life a tiny bit easier for people that desperately need it. I view it as a charitable donation, and I don’t expect to get anything back in the way of updates. It’s satisfaction enough for me that I am helping in a small way.

This is a brilliant idea helping lots of small entrepreneurs around the world. I’ve made 16 loans to date with no defaults. On the other hand only one has been fully repaid so far and several are “over a year” old (I can’t remember how old they are). So just don’t expect to get repaid in a hurry.

I've been a lender for almost a year now, 11 loans, no defaults, just a good feeling from helping people become independent and successful. Before I joined I had loads of questions about due diligence and how LWC made sure entrepreneurs were safeguarded from spiralling debts. In my line of work I hear stories from survivors of unscrupulous money lenders and the effects of debt bondage so I was always going to be hyper cautious no matter what! However, my concerns were addressed my questions were all answered and I am more than convinced that every step is taken to safeguard the entrepreneurs and ensure the continuation of the microfinance institutions and I was happy to find out that many (if not all) of them provide bank accounts, financial information, and business workshops to those we lend out money too. So off I went on my lending journey! I'm happy I did! My most recent loan was to a man named Wilson who makes the most wonderful bags and I'm so proud to support his business.

To those who are concerned about the interest charged I would say that it's important to remember that there are loan sharks who would offer such funds with severe consequences, and also to perhaps look at micro lenders in Pakistan if interest really is an issue. Personally I'm happy to support the microfinanciers; they have a job to do as well after all.

I joined a couple of months ago and have just received my first repayment. It's fantastic to know I'm helping others help themselves!

I've been making loans to this charity for over 10 years and reinvest monthly once repayments made. I primarily loan to groups of women thus spreading the risk and enjoy the fact the majority of the funds go the recipients. It is important to do some background reading on the financial stability of the countries before deciding to make loans to entrepreneurs. For the most part defaults have been minimal.

Lend over and over and over.
I got fed up of UK charities taking donations and then seeing the money spent on "lifestyles" for the employees, or a single donation and the money is spent.
Here I put in a money over a period of time, microfinance companies lend it out to your selected entrepreneurs, and mostly it gets paid back with the finance company making a profitb and the entrepreneur improving their quality of life.
You can then re-lend. Over and over and over.

I have recently loaned with this great charity. As an ex fraud investigator I am 100% confident that they are genuine. The negative posts about staff taking a salary are unfair. Every charity has someone at the helm and this particular charity pays the going rate for a position of such responsibility. They are doing great work and I love the idea of directly supporting another human being(s) who are working hard to support family and other workers. I’ve just done a third loan and am very happy with the process and subsequent communication. I hope that my relationship with this charity will stretch many years into the future.

I loaned because I am interested in people. I looked at business plans and wondered if they would work and what the entrepreneur would say about their business plan and their experience. I was looking forward to regular updates but despite making a number of loans I have had no feedback from anyone I invested in which has been my biggest disappointment. I wonder it this is marketed differently in the country receiving the loan? The website says people in developing countries might be too busy to leave feedback but I am a working person and I have time to check out loans that spark an interest. When my current loans are repaid I plan to close my account as I have had to simply guess how my entrepreneur's have got on and what worked for them and what did not work.

THE MORE i LEARN THE MORE SISAPPOINTED i AM
For example I cant find out how wealthy Tracy horner is worth which makes me suuspicious that she is raking off loads of our money for her personsal greed . I have no evidence to dupport this allergation . I will not ever support Lend with care And I will not be lending any more money . I am a pensioner on a fixed income but I have a gut feeling that I was stupid to get involved I really want to dupport people less fortunat than me but my gut feeling is That I am jut making wealthy people richer . I will be withdrawing my funding as I am repaid.

I have been lending with Lend with Care for a long time now, I've had an account for over 10 years and signed up in University to do the odd loan, but really started ramping up the lending in the last few years. I usually stick to a £15 loan and increase the amount of loans I do where I can. I have got to the point where I can usually do a new £15 loan each month from the repayments that are made to me by all my active loans. My next goal is to get two two new loans per month through repayments and more investment.

I love loaning with Lend with Care, it is something I look forward to every month and I take time to choose who to lend to next. Everyone on the platform deserves help but I enjoy taking the time to read the stories and select the person to contribute to.

I have done 47 loans micro loans, and the money in the account is truly recycling from one entrepreneur to another with the odd top up from me. I've only had 1 full default and one partial which were a long time ago.

I've also completed one grant where I bought a cooking stove for families.

I'm not sure what else to say, there is joy in giving!

Well done to the lend with care team and to the entrepreneurs who take these loans, do great things with them, and then pay back consistently!

Lendwithcare was recommended to me by a friend over 10 years ago. I think it's a wonderful idea (which I adopted) and have since encouraged others to sign up. I lend to those who educate their daughters - it helps me decide where to loan and hopefully also gives the girls more autonomy.
