Lendkey offers student debt consolidation that I found was easier than asking my local credit union. Easier in that the interest rate (plus an additional decrease in interest rate for autopay) made the loan way more manageable and I wasnt being nagged about reminders. Though it is true that they withhold early payments until the next pay-date, I found that it eased my mind to submit an early payment on top of my auto pay to contribute to the principal in a bigger way. I could forget about it after submitting and wait until my funds replenished to submit another extra payment.

They were great to work with!

They hold your payment & do not credit until the payment due date. So if you want to pay extra or early, you’re out of luck. It is so they can charge you interest those days between when they receive your payment & actually credit it to your account. Then their system messes up the payment.

Easy, people on the phone were really helpful and explained every step

The interest rate is the lowest I've ever had on a school loan! I've also been able to put it into forbearance and only pay the interest for 6+ months while I've been struggling to get steady contract work.

I've had a fantastic overall experience using the LendKey service. When I was looking to refinance my student loans some years back, LendKey was the only company that provided me with what I felt was a reasonable, low interest rate that significantly reduced the amount of interest I was set to pay. I love how they worked with me to get the right loan. They did not approve my first application or two, but rather then restarting everything, they kept working with me to find the lowest interest that will work. I have not had that with other companies.

It was a very easy process

This is the WORST experience I have EVER had!! THEY ARE RUINING PEOPLE'S FINANCES. First of all, my most recent qualm is them double charging me. Their system DOES NOT notify you via email when your payment is PENDING. I paid my loan on a Friday October 3rd. My co-signer and I got a notification on the 7th that I had not paid yet and my loan was delinquent. I go to the account and the payment from the 3rd IS NOT NOTED ANYWHERE. I make the payment AGAIN. THEY TOOK BOTH PAYMENTS OUT OF MY ACCOUNT!! MIND YOU, my loan payment is $943. NINE HUNDRED FORTY-THREE DOLLARS. AND THEY CHARGED ME TWICE. To make matters WORSE, I called and they told me I could apply it to the loan or get a refund. I requested a refund. They STILL have not refunded me, I have no email about it or anything. I am LIVID! ON TOP OF THAT, I only get paid once a month on the last day of the month and my payment is on the 15th. I have requested to have it changed, but I have to clear the $943 twice in the month before I can change it. I have HAD IT! I have a whole $79,000 before I can even get rid of them because no other company will take that big of a loan. Thank goodness I have my cosigner to advocate for me!
