although the opal coast is a lovely place to visit and the day trips out are very good the hotel leaves alot to be desired, our room was large and clean but the food in the hotel was very poor, there was no choice you had what was put in front of you if you didnt want that then hard luck, my wife is veggie and when we asked what was on menu for her we was told that you get what the chef decides, so we ate out. also our safe did not work we was told someone would fix it 8 am next day but no one turned up. hotel bar was not open during the day.

Good choice of excursions. We particularly enjoyed the train trip in the Baie de la Somme. Hotel accommodation in studio - large room but no provision of tea or coffee and milk. Good meals including regional cuisine but no choice. long walk to coach from hotel.

The journey, and the locations were great.The Hotel although well situated was disappointing.The room exceeded our expectations, the hotel was exceptionally quiet at night, where it fell down was the bed and pillows which were most uncomfortable impeding sleep.There was no choice of meals it was take it or leave it, there was nothing wrong with the food but it was bland and lacked any taste,it wasn’t something you looked forward to, which was a shame because with a little more’je ne sais pas’ it could have easily been a different story.No green veg but that’s France for you!

Tour and resort is really good. The train journey on the Somme was a delight.' Downfall was service on coach..i usually spend well over £20/£50 but only £7.20...and repeated and prolonged information from driver. Hotel a bit dated, rust around door frame and shower but although no choice of food the three courses were very good. Just wanted to add that the resort is only 1 hour fifteen fron Callas and the beach area was spotless.

Chaotic initial pickup,waited for passenger who had cancelled and next pickup at wrong postcode! Travel arrangements good but return coach driver got lost in Birmingham and at Sandbach services. Berck sur Mer a bit brutalist architecturally. Hotel Neptune satisfactory,food acceptable but no choice. Excursions disappointing,esp Bay Railway and Boulogne. Sociable fellow travellers. Drivers,Damian and Chris,could have been more helpful. Overall,satisfactory.

Fantastic tour drivers. Great holiday but spoilt by feeder coach drivers. Outward seriously visually impaired friend not given front seat. Homeward not enough time in services to buy milk and use toilets!!!!

although the hotel was quite good and clean and the area of burck sur mer was very nice the holiday was spoilt by the food in the hotel. you sat down for dinner and did not know what you was getting your dinner was put in front of you and if you did not like it hard like thats what you got, my wife is vegeterian and when we ask what is vegeterian menu we was told you get what the chef decides, not very good so we ate out , also the bar did not open till 6pm so on a hot day you had no choice but to find somewhere else to get drinks. our room safe did not work we reported it to reception and no one bothered to sort it out, not very good customer service.

Opal coast by Leger holidays. Drivers reversed itinerary from Le Touquet to Boulogne, hence shops all shut when in Le Touquet at 1.30p.m. so no shopping opportunities. Optional excursion to Amiens not enough time as had to leave at 3.00p.m. Again at St Valery shops all shut . Restaurants in this area open but had to have food to get a drink. If raining difficult to find shelter. Hotel Neptune, Berck, No choice of menu for evening meal also people with special diets like celiac (one meal was meat and wilted greens no sauce or gravy) and served late. Hotel needs to be changed or at least two choices by ordering at breakfast to save wastage. Breakfast was good. Somme Bay Railway a little disappointing not very scenic but steam train good.

The Opal coast is only just over an hour's coach journey from Calais. The pleasant hotel in Berck sur Mer sits on the long promenade opposite a magnificent beach which stretches for miles. Berck is a lovely, clean little town with plenty of shops and restaurants. The included trips out to Boulogne and Le Touquet and the steam train to St Valery were good. I decided to explore Berck to try and see the seals instead of the trip to the city of Amiens but those that went enjoyed it. A relaxing little holiday with a lovely group of people.

Lovely holiday. Drivers and coach excellent. Nice hotel and very good trips which were quite near resort. Marked down on transfer to Dover from West Yorks. It took forever. Only worth going if you're starting in south or Midlands

Using Luxuria for this trip is not worthwhile. Due to hotel location, porterage was unavailable, therefore we carried our own luggage. Travelling times were too short for adequate drinks service.If you were sat at the rear,you either didn't get a drink,or had 2 mins to drink it.

Beautiful area and lovely hotel. The beach is stunning and we enjoyed staying in the beautiful town. The only issue is that we paid for luxuria experience and only collected the coach at Folkestone. This meant that for the main travel times we were on a normal coach.

Good value. More time in St. Valery would have been good as it was a sunny day. Hotel used chipped crockery at dinnertime but staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean if somewhat bijou for one person.
