One star was given as i had to give it! This company is a complete joke. I invested £579 on a Feider lawn mower in December 2023, within one year the choke has gone and i have to run the machine with the joke in the whole time. I contacted the company to report this, only to be told that this was a manufacturer issue and that i would need to call the 'french' call centre! Knowing a thing or two on business law i pushed back to the point where they asked for a video of the issue, which i did. The response was that this was not covered under warranty and that i would need to speak to a local repair company or pay £50 for sending back and £50 for them to send it back me once the repairs were done. I am now no further forward and have mower that is not what i need.

Do yourselves a favour and avoid this shower of cowboys at all costs.

DESPITE CALLING AND EMAILING IVE HAD NO RESPONSES REGARDING RETURNING FOR A REFUND

Ordered a lawnmower and paid through PayPal. Didn’t receive the item, when queried after two weeks, lawnmower direct canceled my order but no refund received. Had to go through PayPal to get my refund.

They took my payment £1888.90 then told me they have no stock. Refusing to send my money back. Think they may be insolvent. I agree with all negative reviews. Do NOT send money for an item, you won't get the item, or your money back!! Rachel should be given the sack. Is she taking my money? Supposed to work for them but takes money under false pretences. Paypal are on the case as this is FRAUD!!

Rubbish company do not buy from them. There are plenty of other choices. Lawnmower that does not collect the grass! Was told “you are walking too fast” my answer “it’s a self propelled mower” “grass too long” it’s less than 4cm’s” oh well it works so there is nothing we can do!

I ordered a lawnmower over 20 days ago, they sent me an email the day after saying that they didn't have it in stock and that I should receive it in a week. After ten days I tried to call but no-one answered; I wrote an email asking for news but at the moment they still haven't replied.

Ordered 12 days ago a selection of items that said 2-3 days despatch. Nearly impossible to get hold of anyone. Still waiting…

I ordered a stihl trimmer & it took them 2.5 weeks for it to be delivered. They should not advertise if they do not have to sell! When it came there was a washer missing as well. I will not be using again

I ordered a Husqvarna brush cutter, decent price, good delivery times, but was missing a small nut for assembly, i contacted LMD and Sam responded quickly and really went above and beyond to get me this tiny but crucial component...well done

After 10 working days from when iplace the order I decided to call them and ask about my order. They told me possible will be able to send my parcel next week . Waste of time

Ordered Hayter Osprey 46 battery mower last Saturday (17th July 2021) . Mower arrived three days later (Tuesday). £90 less than Amazon. Very pleased overall.

Ordered lawn mower on 4th March. In stock and expected delivery within 4-5 days. By 7 days had heard nothing so contacted company by e mail. Standard auto reply -- during Covid, delays expected etc etc. However since price was so good and I was in no great hurry I was happy to wait for delivery. 7 days later I contacted company direct by phone. Spoke to Sam who was excellent. Explained they were waiting for a delivery ??? --due next day and that I was allocated one of the machines. Within 2 hours I had an e mail stating order had been updated and the order was being dispatched. I would receive contact from the courier in due course. Following day I did indeed receive a call from the courier and delivery was arranged for Tuesday 23rd March. Order arrived as stated . Well packaged and had been checked and assembled as promised.
Overall a slightly delayed experience but worth it due to the savings made. I suspect my initial order had been put to the side while other priorities took over but eventually all came together. Finally price needs to be mentioned. Retail price £900. Other on line stockists £790. I paid £665 although prices did go up within 24-48 hours of me placing the order. Overall well pleased. Many thanks to Sam who obviously got things moving.

Awful customer service. Rude and unhelpful staff that never seem to reply. Really messed me about with an order and wasted a lot of time. It could have been so much better if they’d have just given a better customer service.

Absolutely appalling company. I ordered a trailer on 17th February for delivery within 6 days. It didn’t arrive so I called and called and eventually got through to someone who answered the phone ‘ello’, no company name, nothing! They said they were delayed due to covid and were getting the trailer on 8th March. After several emails being sent with no response I must have called fifty times before getting the same rude man on the phone. They won’t be receiving the trailer for a further 21 days! No phone call or email to keep me informed. I requested a refund which was accepted. No apology.
I will NEVER use this ‘company’ again.
I try not to always buy off Amazon, especially during these times whilst independent companies need the support; lawn mowers direct clearly dont need the support or the money.

Excellent service from Lawnmowers Direct bought a Honda Izzy petrol mower which came 3 days after ordering it was well packed and I followed the instructions and away it went choose this Honda due to its reliability and it was a good price inc free oil

New Mountfield delivered in less than 24hrs to Scotland, perfect. Great customer service, very pleased to recommend.

I ordered from lawnmowers direct as the website said it would be 4 to 6 days delivered. 3 weeks later my parcel was delivered. I called customer services three times as I was told I'd get a call back twice to find out what was going on with my order. I didn't receive an email with tracking number as promised or next day delivery as promised. I can see why places like Amazon and Ebay are putting these companies out of business. Definitely wont be using lawnmowers direct again or Ernestdoe

Lawnmower supplied with a part missing despite claiming product is subject to a pre delivery inspection. Unable to use safely.
Complete lack of urgency to resolve problem with no indication when missing part would be delivered.
Wrong consumer legislation quoted - was advised they would have to contact their supplier for approval when I requested collection and refund.
Part was finally delivered after a week, by its condition it was obviously a cannibalised part. Difficult to fit as non-standard tool was required.

Very good and clear website (although dimensions of products, and the nature of assembly required would be good additions).

Really excellent customer service. They answer the phone promptly, return calls if required, and are extremely helpful on all queries.
