I bought and downloaded several forms to use. The forms for Power of Attorney for Health Care and for Finance were fine and I filed them with my local County Probate office. However, the form for my will was rejected (NM). Lawdepot would not refund my fee for it.
I ended up having to get a lawyer in the end. The response from Lawdepot was prompt but not particularly pleasant.

I signed up for LawDepot’s 7-day free trial to access a legal document, fully intending to cancel before any charges occurred. However, I was surprised to find that my subscription continued beyond the trial period, resulting in multiple monthly charges of £33 each. Upon realizing this, I contacted their customer support. While they did provide a one-time courtesy refund of £33, they declined to refund the additional months, citing their refund policy.

Pros:
• The platform offers a wide range of legal document templates.
• Customer support responded promptly to my inquiries.

Cons:
• The transition from the free trial to a paid subscription isn’t clearly communicated, leading to unexpected charges.
• The refund policy is strict, offering limited flexibility even when the service hasn’t been utilized post-trial.

Advice to Others:
If you decide to use LawDepot’s free trial, be diligent about canceling before the trial ends to avoid unintended subscription fees. Regularly monitor your bank statements to catch any unexpected charges promptly.

Overall Experience:
While the service itself is valuable for those needing legal documents, the subscription model and refund policy can be problematic. Transparency regarding automatic renewals and more flexibility in refunding unused services would greatly enhance the user experience.

Claimed to be free, absolute scam!!!!
Spent about an hour completing the draft will thinking I could download it at the end, and print it off. It states clearly FREE WILL SERVICE on the website, but when I got to the end of filling the information in on the will template, they asked for a subscription fee. They have a free version on their website, but that's a trial period. The thing is, if they were up front about their fees, I probably would've signed up. It's a shocking way to try and get money out of people, in my opinion.

Verging on scam and incredibly awful customer service. I cancelled my subscription straightaway after I used it as I had fallen for the same trap and scammed out of many hundreds of pounds before. However, they kept taking my money for 7 months until recently I realized that they took a total of £230 plus. When I tried to contact them via a chat link contained in an email I got a warning saying that this website was malicious. The other option to contact them didn't even work! I phoned them to ask for a refund they refused and claimed that I had never cancelled and hang up on me. I visited their website once and never went back even again and I don't understand why they kept taking money off me!! Funny that they quietly took my money without even once send me an invoice like some other reputable companies. I will report them to the Fraud UK and the authorities. Disgusting behaviour, conning people like this! Avoid them like plague!!!

*How ironic that a site called Lawdepot is not more upfront honest. I thought I would try their service expecting a notification as to if I wished to extend their free trial. I cancelled on the 8th day and got charged for a month. I will call them and see if they will honour a refund. *I have added a note 16th Jan 25. In all due fairness to the company, I called them and they gave me a full refund on my trial fee and it was back in my account following day!

This website tricks you into wasting time by saying it is free then charging you at the last moment

Same as the others. 'Free' will get you to divulge personal information only for them to require your credit card details. An absolute scam and complete waste of time. avoid at all costs.

This is a scam site, and they keep taking your money even after you cancel your subscription. Do not use!!

Scam site - 'free' is only 'free' if you select a 'free' trial and give payment details. For a ONE page bill of sale. Do yourself a favour and download from virtually any other rival site. Looks like this business model is getting a lot of 'glowing' reviews...

Utter scam. Made mistake of giving card details and told I could cancel within 7 days BUT I can’t as no way of doing this, no contact details, no phone details and fear I have lost my money. Also can’t print document so nothing to show for my money. Am contacting bank to see if they can stop payment.

They need a class action lawsuit, scam company failed to process my cancelation and kept silently charing on credit card

What a total waste of time - create a free tenancy agreement it says, so you go through the process which takes around 10 mins only to be told you can sign up now with your dredit card for a free trial.

If I can give a negative star , I would have. I should have googled more about this website before I key in my card details. It's ABSOLUTELY A FRAUD. It wrote to me giving me a false sense of security after 7 days that nothing is charged, and I received charges on the 8th day! Their online chat does not work, and only the consult lawyer link worked - and someone did reply, and WANTED TO CHARGE ANOTHER FEE JUST TO HAVE MY QUERY SENT! THIS WEBSITE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!

I wanted to have a will and testament for my children's future and this site came up free for a week i thought great. I should have looked at the reviews first. I had no issues creating the account or the will or subscribing I thought everything was great, I saw that they had a living will option too so clicked that to create and had every intention of keeping the subscription if the service was good and then all of a sudden I was blocked.
I couldn't access the main site, or my documents through the email link, and I couldn't go through a history link. I tried incognito, a different browser, and cleaning cookies nothing worked their security blocked me. I tried to call the number left a voicemail tried again an hour later in a queue and finally waited an hour with no answer so panic set in that they would be taking money from me. I rang the bank and explained that they tried to put a block on the website from taking a payment on the 24th but they could not guarantee it would work with no previous payments coming out told me to see if it came out then if it did i could ring back do a chargeback and a block. I was really annoyed about the whole thing I wondered if it was ip address specifically so I tried downloading a VPN blocker which bounced your IP address about, they had me as in London I tried logging in and success!!!!! I went straight into the account and cancelled the subscription, deleted my bank info and deleted my account. I now have a screenshot of the cancellation, deletion and also the confirmation email of cancellation. so that lifted a huge weight off my mind now if they do try to take money next week and I need to do a chargeback I can prove that it has been taken fraudulently. BEWARE!!!!

Went for free 7 day trial then site was conveniently down so couldn't cancel but pop up message on their site said "don't worry no fees will be taken whilst site is down". Only they did take the money. Tried calling them to get a refund but some weird message saying my number has been reported as spam..absolute scammers - avoid at ALL cost

Went for a 7 day free trial to create a tenancy agreement. Day after I made one the website was down for coincidentally 7 days so I couldn't login to cancel the subscription.
It said on the site, "don't worry, no credit card payments will be taken during this time"
On the 7th day the site came back but when I logged in to cancel they had already taken the money.
I've emailed them so time will tell if it's an honest company and they refund the money, if so I will change the review.
