Extremely happy with the 1 week course!
Extremely happy with the 1 week course introduction to financial markets and trading. This really gave me the confidence to continue on my trading path and actually helped me make my first virtual $1500 in the first week after the course. Super happy to continue on this path and hopefully start trading live accounts from January onwards. LAT has really given me the tools and confidence that with the right education, proper risk management and mindset trading can turn profitable and be fun.

I have just completed my Diploma in Applied Financial Trading and I have to say that LAT offer a fantastic product. The tutors are extremely knowledgable and go above and beyond to ensure you get the most out of the course. Great place to get a good grounding for a trading career
I found the LAT lecturers all very knowledgeable and friendly. They each have their own style and preference for tools which gave a great variation meaning I could understand how each worked and chose which worked for me. This is fantastic as some institutes follow a single doctrine which might not suit my style or preference.
Overall I found them brilliant and have given me a great grounding to start my trading journey.
I would highly recommend them for anyone of any level or experience.

was looking for a new direction in life...
I had just come out of a high turnover business 6 months prior to starting the diploma and was looking for a new direction in life at 50 years of age. For a number of years I had a lot of interest in trading the financial markets but lacked any knowledge or experience. I read a few books over the summer and anything I could find online as well as watching endless YouTube videos daily but nothing filled me with confidence or clarity, I prefer a comprehensive approach to learning with some level of support I can rely on and trust. I began researching different courses and the London Academy of Trading stood out head and shoulders above the rest. The modules and accreditation process was a perfect fit for what I needed and the rationale for opting for the 12-week diploma course was to intensify my learning curve.
The recorded lectures are delivered in the upmost professionalism and the course content is excellent. Each week is divided into different modules and each day has a different subject. There are 3 live interactive webinars daily which are very informative. I wrote extensive notes for all the lectures and webinars each day that helped me learn the content better. The tutors are personable and very knowledgeable in their field and always available for support. Their style of teaching is professional and authentic and a refreshing contrast from marketing hype you may find elsewhere. I did the online version of the diploma. If I had to do it again I would definitely opt for the live lectures package. I think I would have absorbed the content much faster if I had experienced the advantage of more tutor contact as it would have been much more beneficial to me.
Any complete beginners reading this needs to know I hadn’t even been on a trading platform before I started the course, however to be frank, you need to be prepared to put in the work as with all things worthwhile you need to dedicate yourself to get the most out of it. There is a lot of studying and practical application involved in becoming a proficient trader. Patience and dedication are paramount and my advice is to approach it professionally and there is no better foundation than the London Academy of Traders L5 diploma in my opinion. Since finishing the course in January I have used all the information I learned to my advantage and traded consistently. I have developed and tested a profitable trading plan that suits my lifestyle.

More than I ever expected
Claiming the Prop Firm challenge from LAT went very smoothly, and it was a nice surprise, because I wasn't even expecting it.

I completed the level 5 diploma in…
I completed the level 5 diploma in November last year, great experience and would recommend to anyone interested in financial markets. I had been investing for a few years but started trading from scratch and learnt a lot in a very short space of time. I completed the diploma all online and there is a lot of support available. The bonus is the $100k prop firm challenge that is included with completion of your course. From starting my challenge in January I am on the final stage and soon to be earning.

Honest Review of LAT - My Experience
I initially gave 2 stars because I thought they were genuinely decent people, but I have now changed it to 1 star. Here’s why:
They are not responsible for scoring students' assessments for their diploma, which can be extremely tense and challenging.
You are required to complete at least three main assessments, each involving extensive research and thousands of words of writing.
Be cautious: if you use any online tools to improve your writing or make your answers appear more professional, your work might not meet their requirements. This is because a third-party software, used by the organisation responsible for qualifying you, can detect if online tools were utilised to enhance your work.
I should mention that I am a self-taught trader with 9 years of experience.
Despite this, I ended up wasting £2,500 and over three months of hard work attempting to complete my diploma, but it wasn’t deemed good enough.
So, don’t let yourself be the next victim!
Additionally, most of the lessons and training provided during the course are already available for free online—on platforms like YouTube or Google.
This is my honest experience with LAT and what I went through with them.
so , Before committing to any course with them, think carefully about what you’re getting into.
You won’t find a more honest review than this.

After leaving my first review, I received an email from the director, Paddy, asking me to remove it!
I feel their response misrepresented my experience, which led me to reduce my review from 2 stars to 1 star.
In my case, I used some tools to improve my spelling and grammar, which I believe contributed to my diploma not being accepted.
Again, I feel that I wasted £2,500 and three months of my time on a course that did not deliver what I hoped for.
I recommend avoiding LAT if you’re looking for value for money, as I feel the scoring process may not fully account for the effort and commitment put into the course.

Thanks for your comment that we’re “genuinely decent people”, but we’re sorry you felt the need to blame us for something that is out of our control. You tell us you’re not happy with the way your diploma assessments have been handled, but we’re obliged to follow our accreditor’s rules at all times, so we’d like to correct a couple of points you made in your review.
Our sole aim is to help individuals like yourself achieve their personal trading goals. Our expert tutors and traders have been available to answer your questions 10 hours-a-day, 5 days-a-week throughout your LAT programme, and you’ve had several 1-on-1 calls with our academic team to give you help and advice during this time. I don’t believe this personal expert advice service is available on YouTube.
You also mentioned that when you posted your review, you “… received an email from the director, Paddy, asking me to remove it!”. This is simply not the case, and we are disappointed that you feel you can say this, so we’ve copied Paddy’s response here to clarify exactly what was written:
“It is our responsibility to mark/score student assessments, but this is an accredited Diploma, and our accreditors (regulated by Ofqual, the UK government regulators) have very strict rules that they are required to follow. It is completely standard practice these days for all student work (at schools, academies and universities) to be checked for AI/plagiarism by Turnitin. We are obliged to do this for every student, and our accreditors will re-check your work using Turnitin anyway, so this process simply cannot be avoided.
I’d like to get this situation sorted and I’d be happy to have a chat with you to see how to find a solution.
Do let me know when would suit you for a chat today or later this week.”
Instead of reaching out to us for help and advice, you chose to downgrade your 2* review to 1*.
We understand you want to be given a free audition for a $100,000 live account, but these auditions are only available to students who pass their Diploma assessments. You mentioned that you “… used some tools to improve my spelling and grammar…”, but your AI score of 79% (generated by Turnitin) indicated that your assignment was mostly written by AI/ChatGPT, not by yourself.
You also claim your assignments “weren’t deemed good enough” by us. On the contrary, they were certainly good enough, but your AI score of 79% suggests they were written by ChatGPT or something similar, not actually written by you. We provided you with detailed written feedback on your assignments to enable you to resubmit your work (at no extra cost), but you simply told us “… this is my best I can do” and left it at that.
With the best will in the world, our accreditors simply cannot award you with a Diploma in this case.
We repeat our offer for you to resubmit your assignments again, and we’re here to help in any way we can to help you achieve your goals.
