Awful, unfair, lying organisation
Landwood took over my rented property and the tenancy agreement due to the original landlord not paying the mortgage.
I left soon as we found out due to not wanting to be with Landwood group as we didn’t sign a contract with these. I thought they were really good when I first dealt with them. We dealt with a man can’t remember his name but he was exceptional and played fair. He was happy with the property and how we left it. He helped me in getting my deposit back and wrote to my new landlord with a positive reference for the whole duration of my tenancy agreement.
Today 2026, I needed a reference for a new potential landlord but they refused. I told them that my old estate agent had gone into administration due to them not paying mortgages on numerous properties and therefore couldn’t get one from my previous landlord.
I believe that Landwood have played unfairly. They have maliciously lied to my prospective new landlord. The reference they have given me makes me out to be a lair and it’s all untrue.
My grandad was the guarantor and the rent was always paid to the estate agent on time and sometimes even a few weeks early but this doesn’t matter because the landlord didn’t pay the mortgage and now I’m left with no reference for the 1 year and 6 months I was in the property. I completed both tenancies at this property. I had a six month one and a one year one which were both completed which should have been reflected in my reference.
If these people take over your rental property. Leave immediately as none of your rental record will be passed on.
Unfair company. Avoid at all costs and don’t expect any help.
