Took my self build camper to Martin at Land and Sea for a full Victron electric system and a autoterm 2kw diesel installed and so glad that I did. From the first initial message explaining what my electrical needs were, Martin was great and knows his stuff, explaining thoroughly what system he thought would be best suited to my needs. Martins customer service and workmanship is 5⭐️+ and his work is very neat and tidy using all top quality items and goes above and beyond. I was sent pictures of every stage of the process and was constantly kept up to date. When collecting my vehicle I got a full run down on how everything works and how to get the best out of my setup. You can also be confident that your vehicle is in safe hands, as Martin takes so much care and respects your pride and joy to the highest of standards. I know very little about electrics of any sort. I can just about wire a plug and after buying my older Ford Transit Mk7 with the intention of making it in to a decent camper, a couple of weeks into ownership I thought that I’d never be able to take it out! Due to the shoddy, and in some spots quite dangerous hab electrics that the previous owner had installed I just didn’t feel safe in it. However… Martin of Land And Sea came to my rescue, and I’m so very glad I found him. He is an absolute gem! A thorough professional with a kind and empathetic ear. He understood what I needed for my little van, with absolutely no overselling. I had everything explained to me, including how the apps work with my newly installed kit. The actual work that he did was incredibly neat and perfectly placed so to not take up too much space in the van.
With Martin’s help I now feel confident and hopeful that I can get my van on the road, and start fulfilling a long-standing adventure dream.

Took our van to Martin after having it “professionally” converted by what can only be described as a cowboy. From the outset Martin was friendly and welcoming. He knows his stuff. He fitted us a new 3000w inverter and all necessary equipment. He also pointed out the shoddy workmanship the previous guy had done.

We now have the van we always wanted. Off grid or on grid we can cope with anything.

Massive thank you to Martin. In future I shan’t be going anywhere else for advice and equipment when the need arises.

I got a cracking deal on the Fogstar battery. Even though ordered before the Black Friday deal Martin got me the lower price. Took a while to arrive but not a problem for me. Worked perfectly as well and Fogstar sent me the larger 629ah to cover the inconvenience lf a longer delivery.

Absolutely brilliant service.
Ordered and delivered in a couple of days.
Dealt with the owner personally, really helpful.

Martin recently fitted a Autoterm 4kw Diesel heater in my motorhome, he did such a good job i then asked him to book me in for a new Fogstar drift 628ah battery a Victron dc-dc charger a Victron mppt and a Renogy 3000w inverter plus other work that needed doing in the van, he did a excellent tidy job, he keeps you well informed and up to date with the job, professional service and I will definitely be using him again.

I visited Land And Sea in January to get an Autoterm diesel heater installed and a Renogy 3Kw inverter and more recently to have a Victron MPPT solar controller, Victron IP22 mains hookup charger and Victron Lynx distribition bar installed amongst other things but we'll get to that.

Where do I start? Well Martin did a splendid job with the diesel heater and the inverter but found lots of small issues that needed resolving that were previously done by a “professional” installer. Nothing that couldn't be fixed but it just surprised me that between us we found these issues and it just added to the workload he had as it all needed correcting.

The whole job should have taken a day, maybe a day and a half but with all the snagging it ended up taking 2 days and I was so grateful that he spotted the errors in the previous work because it just made me sleep easier knowing that family in the van would be safe.

We booked the motorhome in for some more work in March which was just completed and that also ended up taking a couple of days. Again we found some schoolboy errors, corners cut and minor issues that really should have been done correctly previously but it's all sorted now and I am super happy with the result.

Martin's friendliness, gentleness and attention to detail shows. The work completed this last time was a real test though because although our motorhome has a lot of space where the electricals go a lot of it was taken up by the previously installed 628Ah battery so when Martin moved the 3Kw inverter he'd previously installed it left little room for cabling but he managed to get it all in nice and tidy. I'm amazed at his patience, truly.

I would recommend you take your van to Land And Sea even for a health check on your electricals as it's money well spent. They can save you money on kit by buying multiple items you need and then install it all at a fixed rate instead of charging by the hour like some do.

The online store covers pretty much everything available and they can also install it for you taking the headache out of wiring your van safely.

Martin is as honest as they come. I took my very lovely but complicated T6.1 for a battery upgrade and diesel heater fault correction. He totally respected the original VW factory conversion. Others may not have and completely butchered my van. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Great communication, quality products and above all your pride and joy is in safe hands.

I came across Land and sea on an autoterm Facebook group as i was having issues with my diesel heater not firing up when not on hook up.Martin diagnosed the issue as a leisure battery problem. I booked on with him and he replaced the leisure battery and i also upgraded my DC to DC charger at the same time. He kept me up to date throughout the day with videos of the work that he was doing. Everything now works perfectly and i cant recommend him highly enough. 10\10
