Training is fine but the new AI slop…
Training is fine but the new AI slop videos are really not great - bring back real actors.
Bad acting, out of order stories, bad practice
Received an email for a program that was watched 46 days prior. Not very professional in their actions.
The topic of the programs is a touch immature and can be summed up in a few seconds rather than the terrible acting.
The sequence of programs do not follow chronological order and just simply do not make sense for any tory line.
Terrible execution of an idea.
Illegal spammers
A 'Security' company from the United States should at the very least follow the email CAN-SPAM rules, let alone the do not solicit phone rules. They send unsolicited spam emails with no unsubscribe links, and leave countless calls despite being told we do do not do business with cold-callers.
Doesn’t work- unethical company
They were never able to get the software working, shuffled me between several different people, poor onboarding, never was able to implement it- they kept my money- unethical and unreliable company and software. Avoid them.
Disappointing First Impressions – Confusing Assessment
Our company is considering enrolling with KnowBe4, and I recently participated in their initial security awareness assessment. Unfortunately, my first impressions were far from positive.
The invitation email for the assessment looked so suspicious that I immediately deleted and reported it as phishing. Email had all the hallmarks of a scam. Only after confirming with our IT department did I realize it was legitimate.
The assessment itself was equally frustrating. It consisted of 20 questions, many of which were poorly worded, filled with jargon and slang, and difficult to interpret. Multiple questions were negatively phrased or had answer choices that were essentially the same, making it feel like the test was designed to trip people up rather than assess real knowledge.
It gave the impression that the goal was to make users fail in order to justify more training. That’s not a constructive approach to security awareness.
It is a tool you must know how to use
I'm the one running our company's training program, and let me tell you, it’s got a ton of content. Some of it can feel a bit dry or not super useful, but if you dig in, there’s actually a lot of cool and helpful stuff to find. Most of the gripes we hear come from folks taking the course, who might not know that some IT person is the one picking what they get, how often, and even things like those fake phishing emails or the language it’s in. Honestly, if the training feels like a boring nightmare, it’s probably because that IT person isn’t putting much thought into it—just tossing in random stuff without checking if it’s useful. Putting together a course is way trickier than it needs to be, and there’s too much basic, repetitive content that’s not very exciting. Plus, we’re missing some key topics that could make it way better.
Truly terrible IT training
Truly terrible IT training! I've just suffered through the KnowB4 training, hating every minute of it. Firstly, the email invites to the training looked so unprofessional and fake that I repeatedly reported them as phishing! Secondly, the quality of the training was so bad - videos you couldn't skip, basic information everyone who is halfway IT literate knows already, poorly worded and ambiguous quiz questions and don't get me started on that embarrassing video about the new guy starting work! Please, if you care about your employees or cyber security, find something better!
False scores make your organization…
False scores make your organization look weaker than it is - making you feel you need KnowB4 more than you do. Example. All successful reported phishing emails on Outlook don't get logged so you score is worse. Staff have reported not seeing certain phishing emails they have apparently clicked - when such an obvious scam email (memberships to clubs that don't exist in NZ etc). Support is labored whn they finally respond. They are the SCAM.
Customer service - need to persevere
Trying to set up a campaign is difficult. Trying to get help is at times challenging but when you do get help they do follow up and check that the campaign has gone to plan.
Waste of time.
Security courses against phishing designed for elderly... Courses are boring and useless, teaching you about things so obvious that you regret doing the course out of your paid time. And then, after you completed this waste of time, they will spam you over and over with stupid emails like "Simon Rabinovich, editor of The Economist wants you for an interview"... Yeah, sure.. I'm a construction worker! Or, they use the email of a director to call a fake meeting... What happens next? Everybody sends the emails from the director to the spam folder and he gets mad!
But the worst: They send all their stupid phishing test emails in english BUT I work in a francophone workplace so nothing can look possible in all the crap they send. Avoid at all cost. Any in house IT guy can do better than this by writting a 2 pages pdf to send to the whole company.
worst courses i have ever seen
If you want to cheap out than use this.
This company makes courses for 'awareness' regarding IT security. The quality of these courses leave you wishing for a decent course. These are the type of courses which companies who want to cheap out would use, easy to create, annoying to get. IT people who respect the IT and themselves would be offended by getting these courses. On top of that this company sends you daily spam, hoping to trigger you to click spam thus creating a vicious circle of spam and courses. For me this company resembles a quick cashgrab.
