I am so pleased to have found McIntosh! A truly, unique bespoke UK small business, offering good value for money and fabulous customer service.

Having researched online for the special type of wool needed for a particular pattern, it soon became obvious other websites were very hit and miss and I didn't have the confidence to choose any of them other than McIntosh.

Delighted too, to find James met and exceeded all expectations and nothing was too much trouble.

My order arrived, and received my lovely Lang Yarn wool in perfect condition together with my new crochet hook.

Although you could see how carefully James had packed the parcel, it was whilst in transit with the courier, Royal Mail in this case, had been a little careless and the box was dented. This of course is totally out of James' control and it would be absurd to reduce my rating on account of this.

James you deserve all 5* thank you very much for all your due care and attention.

Excellent service from McIntosh. James couldn’t fulfill my full order but he put my knit pro interchangeable needles on back order and when they came in he sent them out and didn’t charge me for delivery. He kept me informed. Everything is well wrapped with 100%plastic free wrapping. Plus hand written thank you postcards. Would absolutely recommend.

Latest acquisition Lang Yarns a dream, the Knitpro Oasis Interchangeable Crochet set a game changer, hooks are perfect and the range of handles to match are beautiful. James runs a tight ship, always keeps customer updated. Arrival of that sturdy brown envelope always brings a smile, well packed with a personal thank you note. Curtesy goes a long way. It's just one reason why I'm a repeat customer.

I love the personal touch James gives his customers. I bought the Lantern Moon circular knitting needle set and ordered the wrong size. Returning them and getting the right size was no trouble and James kept me up to date on the process by email.

Langs didn't have the coloured yarn I requested, and James informed straight away... Money back or a different colour. As there was so much choice another colour was no hardship. James kept me informed. The yarn is beautiful. One very happy customer.

I ordered extra wool and requested the same dye lot if possible. This was no trouble to James and he requested this from Lang. The personal touch was much appreciated.

I have placed multiple orders and have received them very fast and with a personal touch! Fantastic small business and I will continue to order from here instead of big retailers!!!

First time buyer and I was not disappointed. I needed a replacement handle for my addi machine, so browsed the web and found Mcintosh. The price was fair and arrived rather quickly. I like the added touch of the little note thanking me for the order. I would definitely come back to him for my knitting needs.
