Disappointed with Kjus ski clothing quality and durability
I purchased Kjus's top-of-the-line ski jackets and pants 7 years ago for me and my teenage son. Since I ski for over 40 years and skiing is my go to sport, I did not mind the super high prices since I expected that price would reflect the durability and quality. Frankly, I liked the Kjus stuff, since it looked functional, having many pockets, adjustments etc. It also looked stylish but simple enough not to be outdated in couple of years. We used Kjus ski jackets and pants only for resort skiing vacations (1 - 2 weeks per year). Btw, 4 years ago I also bought three men's Kjus midlayers half-zip.
I take proper care of my ski clothing and rather wash it less than more and also properly store it.
Despite proper care and not heavy usage, three years ago, on my top-tier Kjus jacket, the decorative seams on the jacket's fabric (kind of flexible plastic strips) became brittle and started to separate from the fabric. Then I noticed the same on the son's jacket! In the following years all Kjus "K" logos and letterings separated from the fabric on both jackets and three midlayers half-zip leaving the marks on the fabric.
And this year, on our ski vacation, 3 zippers out of four (2 ventilation zippers and one pocket zipper) on my pants, separated from the fabric - they are not sewn but glued/welded to the fabric. Then I checked my sons pants and find out that also his zippers are in process of separation from the fabric. After a few years all our super expensive stuff looks like like being in a battle or being some "cheap-shit" apparel.
So, after a claim, I was dismissed as "this is normal wear and tear and not properly taking care". I was expecting this kind of a feed-back.
Unfortunately, the issue is in the Kjus brand and its philosophy. They have stylish super expensive items marketed as top-notch, which in reality it is not. They are stylish, but NOT durable, with average manufacture quality - the price does not reflect the durability and quality. Over the years I owned many brands, parallel to Kjus I still use other well respected brand, and none of these brands I used, did not disintegrate/deteriorate like Kjus.
Though I like Kjus for the style and the way it looks with many useful details, I will buy now ski clothing from another brand. I am disappointed by Kjus. It is not what I expected and what the brand claims about itself.
If you are in the process of choosing a high-end skiing apparel brand and you prefer quality and durability over the flashy image, I strongly recommend to avoid Kjus. Do not be misled by marketing and looks.
Buyer beware
Buyer beware. The expensive brand positioning isn’t backed up by the quality of the product at all. I paid a fortune for a kjus ski jacket that I used for less than 10 weeks of skiing before 2 of the zips detached from the jacket and began to tear the outer fabric shell. This was poor design and/or poor manufacturing but not remotely acceptable at this price point. As others have already noted, Kjus washed their hands of the issue and simply sent me to a 3rd party repair service. I’ll never buy any of their products again and would strongly advise others not to do so as well.
PS when I took it to be repaired, they pointed out that all the pocket zippers were just glued to the surrounding fabric rather than stitched. “The glue was designed to last just for the 2 year warranty period…!”
Disappointing After-Sales Support for a Premium Brand
I am very disappointed with KJUS’s after-sales service.
I purchased a KJUS jacket and only wore it a few times before the elastic cord at the hem detached from the fabric. This was not caused by misuse or heavy wear, but occurred under normal use, which is surprising given KJUS’s reputation as a premium sportswear brand.
I contacted customer service with photos and a clear explanation of the issue. Instead of offering any proper assessment, repair, or support, I was simply advised to contact a third-party repair service at my own cost. After I replied to explain that this appeared to be a quality issue rather than normal wear and tear, I received no further response at all.
For a brand positioned at a high price point, this level of customer care feels dismissive and irresponsible. I would expect a company like KJUS to stand behind the quality of its products, or at least engage properly with customers when a potential defect is reported.
Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in the brand, and I would think twice before purchasing KJUS products again.
Ignorant or apathetic?
I’ve unsubscribed on three separate occasions and I’m still receiving all of their emails. Be cautious of giving them your details because they will not leave you alone
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND
DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND. Quality is poor and there is no warranty in CANADA.

Goal netting frayed within a couple weeks of minimial use — very disappointing as I missed Amazon window to return— no info about returning item to company at all—-!!!

Getting a refund is proving to be very difficult, communication is non existent so I will probably turn to my credit card provider. I have been waiting for delivery of another item for over 10 days and their useless UPS service has been telling me that the item will be delivered today for the last 5 days. Very frustrating and a company that I won't buy from again, not worth the hassle.
Kjus formula jacket not helmet compatible
I bought the formula ski jacket which is not helmet ‘compatible’. ie you can’t simultaneously completely zip up the jacket and put the hood over a helmet. When almost everyone wears a helmet they continue to release jackets that are not helmet compatible. Their USA head office customer service is atrocious, with a smug ‘sincerely thanking you’ for taking the time to reach out to us but the initial email theme is beat it loser, you bought a jacket that wasn’t helmet compatible and you didn’t check our website. Their follow up solution is to try and up sell you another jacket and charge you even more to ship it to your country. Or they offer you a helmet compatible shell jacket and want to charge you for the postage. The local country reps solution was to try and offload a 1-2 season old jacket as an exchange.
Avoid the formula jacket and check for ‘helmet compatibility’ with Kjus. Or just avoid their products all together due to their smug USA office customer service. I am wearing Toni Sailer gear now and unlikely to ever purchase kjus ever again.
Awful delivery service
Whilst I like the product, their delivery and customer service is shocking. When I ordered directly they offer a delivery service. They then lied about attempting delivery and dropped it off in a drop off location a few miles away and never had the courtesy to inform me. I now need to get in my car, drive miles to the nearest town, pay for parking and pick it up myself, all without any communication, explanation or apology from Kjus!
Disappointed with Kjus Quality – But Excellent Service from Hofstetter Sport
I purchased a Kjus ski jacket from Hofstetter Sport in Geneva, expecting premium quality and durability. As someone who prioritizes performance and longevity over fashion, I was assured that Kjus was a high-end, long-lasting brand.
However, despite hardly wearing the jacket and properly storing it, all the brand logos have become brittle, cracked, and detached, damaging the otherwise perfectly intact fabric. I own ski jackets from Descente, The North Face, and Peak Performance, some dating back to the 1990s, and none have deteriorated like this. A high-end ski jacket should not simply disintegrate with age.
I must emphasize that Hofstetter Sport provided outstanding service. They were quick to investigate the issue and did their best to find a solution. I have always had a great experience with them, and this situation was no exception—they remain a top-tier ski shop.
Unfortunately, the issue lies with Kjus as a brand. Instead of standing by their product, they dismissed the issue as normal wear and tear after 10 years, blaming glue degradation—something I have never encountered with other premium ski brands. If this is Kjus’ standard for “durability,” I’ll stay far away from their products in the future.
In the end, I had to buy a replacement jacket while skiing, which should never have been necessary. If you’re looking for true durability, I strongly recommend considering other brands.

Schade …
Poor refund service
The quality of the clothing is fairly good and fits as expected, however as their clothing is not the cheapest you will find yourself hundreds of pounds out of pocket if you need to return an item. The service is really poor and they do not appear to refund money even when an item was returned 3 weeks ago. I will probably get VISA to fight the battle. Be very wary of this company
KJUS ski wear is great quality BUT
KJUS ski wear is great quality - the problem you have is when you return an item as no exchange process is allowed. I returned an item to get the next size up - I ordered the next size up. Sadly 10 days after you received my return in perfect original condition I have yet to receive a refund. So it is your administration processes that are letting you down rather than the KJUS products. Until you can sort that element of your business you are not worthy of 5 stars or even 4.

Poor customer service and warranty fulfillment. They asked me to take the defective garment to a tailor and send them the bill as they do not have any way to repair in the united kingdom. Perhaps they should not sell anything in the United Kingdom if they can't stand behind their product properly
KJUS Quality fail
We bought a jacket for my wife 7 ski weeks ago. After 6 weeks of use = 6 x wash, the zipper for breast pocket parted in the joint to fabric. Bad choice of glue. A skiing jacket is supposed to be washed several times before "end of life". Due to more than 2 years old there is no warranty and we needed to use the repair service from Kjus and pay for repair. The skishop could tell that they had several incidents of bad quality. The quality promiss from KJUS stink. We will never buy from this company again. But the repair service was extraordinary good and the quality of repair in top.
The jacket I purchased in 04/04/2015 at Snow & Rock
The jacket I purchased in 04/04/2015 at a cost of £854 (sale price) has been used for only 208 skiing days (using SkiTrax as my record). There are multiple disappointments. 1) The red colour has faded badly. 2) The fabric around the Logo in centre of back has parted from the plastic of logo leaving a large hole. 3) On the main front of jacket pullup zip the grip has snapped from the zip carriage (Jacket would be useless open so I fashioned a puller threaded through the carriage). 4) the cuff velcro both sides has ceased to bind. 5) where the cuff tightener of my ski gloves rests against he jacket sleeves the fabric has badly torn in two places. Anyone at Kjus interested I will send photographs. I have to report to all the world how very, very disappointed with this product that I had believed was "premium" - it is certainly priced as if it is.
