Went into the store the other day clutching a small tackle box which had been given to me to take my 2 children fishing. Presented it to the staff member and asked for help….did I have everything I needed and was it all still ok (it had been sitting around a while I think). They checked it over and all I needed was float stops and maggots. Also needed to know where I could take the kids which they gladly helped with as well. They couldn’t have been more helpful and encouraging to my kids that fishing was the best. We’ve since had a lovely, successful day out (3 tiddlers caught 😀) and the kids loved it. The whole experience for my kids started in the store. Thank you.

I purchased some Free Spirit HI S Ive Er's Ti Forge from Johnson Ross and after just 2 day sessions, was shocked to see the reel grips/collars wearing. I spoke with Johnson Ross and they were great. Lewis was understanding, sympathetic and dealt with it. A next day courier was sent with packaging and collection from me was made. Lewis updated me throughout and Free Spirit agreed to change the handle grips. Free Spirit Carbon seats off, ALPS on. The process was too long, from a Free Spirit standpoint, and I was without rods for 7 weeks. However, Lewis did offer a loan set if my rods if mine weren't back I time. They just made it!..

Resolved, happy with outcome, not so happy with Freespirit, but the guys at Johnson Ross were fantastic, so managed to salvage my faith in Freespirit, Lewis in particular. I always buy alot of gear from them, and I live 2 miles from the Tackle Box in Dartford ofnwhom are good, but not quite as good as Johnson Ross!.

These guys are seriously the best around.
Back in May 2022 I put a deposit down on some rods with evey intention of paying them in full 2 months later. One thing lead to another and a mini personal financial crisis meant I couldn't afford them no more.
Fast forward to today (2 yrs later) and I've just purchased the exact rods I ordered plus delkims and rod pod and they have still honoured my deposit.
This to me is good old fashioned customer based business which harbours integrity and good manners.
I can't speak highly enough about their focus to customer attention and especially thank you to Matt who very patiently demonstrated various aspects of rod pods and gave me valuable advice on other equipment too.
Please do yourselves a favour and pay them a visit. Its a truly remarkable place and am Alladins cave of angling equipment!
I'll definitely be coming back and bearing in mind this is 45 minutes drive from my home so it's well worth it!

Amazing company. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. After sales service is brilliant too. I use these guys for all of my tackle purchases and I've never felt let down.

Ordered a bivvy deal with the free wrap & only ordered the bivvy on its own, I contacted the customer service team & explained what I'd done & they came back too me and said the wrap with be delivered in the next few days..Brilliant..
First time using this company and will be definitely using them again from now on.

Extremely disappointed. Bought a wheelbarrow at £319.99 for my father and it came with damaged parts. They offered to post out the damaged part, I had to remind them to post these 3 weeks later.

I Whatsapp’d the customer service team on 24th February and received no response. On 13th March I messaged again to chase this and received a phone call promising these damaged parts would be posted and I would receive a refund to my credit card.
21st March I chased this “refund” again and was told this would be a credit note on my account and apologies for any confusion.

My experience using the company has been awful and because of that, I will not be spending more money with the company to use my credit note - so what a waste of my time chasing this “refund”.

Will not recommend to the many fisherman who has asked about my dad’s wheelbarrow. Very, very disappointed.
