Jester Games Store Anmeldelser

I first went into Jesters last year because my son had started getting into Pokémon, and honestly, we both walked in knowing absolutely nothing.

That first experience was brilliant. We left with a brand new binder, some proper basic knowledge about the cards, and a much better idea of how to actually start collecting properly. One of the staff even took the time to show me how to double sleeve cards — James, I remember! 😉 — which says a lot, because at that point I barely understood normal sleeves, never mind all the different ways people protect their cards.

Since then I’ve been back quite a few times with my son. Pokémon stock was hard to find, so we ended up broadening our horizons and started collecting other things too, like Dragon Ball and a few bits from other TCGs.

What I really like about Jesters is that it feels like a proper TCG shop. It’s clearly very focused on the playing community, events, and people who are really into the game side of things, which makes sense. I’m more of a collector at the moment rather than a player, but I’ve never once felt looked down on or treated differently because of that.

I also get the impression they genuinely try to keep things fair for people who actually enjoy the hobby, whether that’s playing, collecting, or just learning more about it. It doesn’t feel like a shop that feeds into the worst side of hype or quick flipping, which I really respect.

The staff have always been friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to, and over time it’s started to feel like the kind of place you can pop into, ask questions, learn a bit more, and feel part of the community.

If you’re new to collecting, interested in playing, or just curious about TCGs in general, I’d honestly recommend Jesters. For me and my son, it’s been a first-class introduction to the hobby.

Picked a random card out of the 50p binder for my commander deck, my first visit guy checked cardmarket for some reason and told me he’d have to charge me £3.50 for it.. I need the card and it’s £3.50.. however after a convo about cards priced with room for them to make profit just 5 mins previous found it hilarious, hypocritical and frankly short sighted to press a potential new customer for £3 on a card you’d put in a 50p binder. (Think the card has increased in price following a pre con release). If this was a £50 card that should have been £350 sure that’s understandable but cards in the bulk binder? Also accusing the chap I was with (man mid 30’s who was there with his child) of taking it from the wrong binder not the best look..

Again tiny amount it’s more amusing than anything but the kind of community/customer experience you can expect I guess.

**update** “could not determine which binder card came from” complete fabrication you were shown the binder page where the card came from, you could check CCTV to determine happy to for this to be shared.. however you dig a bigger hole insinuating we were attempting to deceive or worst case steal a 50p/£3.50 card. Was contemplating deleting the review however it’s wholly justified..cards fluctuate you have 2/3 mtg binders most TCG shops would take the hit for such a tiny amount…suggestion if you are so suspicious of customers getting a good deal to not price anything in the binder and check cardmarket on every sale..

Fantastic environment, the staff are friendly and professional, prices are good and fair. The events are fantastic

Everyone there is so nice no matter your skill level!

Lovely bunch of people, reasonable prices would definitely go again.

Item was never delivered despite being promised it would be. Ordered two weeks ago and I have chased twice but still nothing. Will be asking for a refund.

Thanks for the response, yes I did say I would collect, but as it had taken over a week with no contact I rang the store and was told the item would be sent to me instead. Notwithstanding this, it has all been two weeks with no contact from you until this review.

I also see you have failed to address the fact that after two weeks the item is still not ready.

Please refund my money

Lovely store of welcoming people, with everything I need and a great atmosphere

Super shop and team, fair prices on in demand products unlike many others out there

Not the 1st or the last time i've shopped and gamed there. Great place.. great staff and people.

Jester has the most friendly and helpful staff in all the local game stores I've been to. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the games they stock and always have a huge supply of stock of the games you're playing.

Enjoyed the atmosphere!

Always friendly and willing to talk about their products. Need more local shops like them around.

Excellent customer service, staff make you feel welcome and they host great events.
