Great experience and great gym
I've been going to JD gyms for around 3 months now and I haven't got a complaint to give them as of yet. All the staff are really polite and all the equipment is top of the range so no set backs whilst working out. All the facilities are clean and the vending machines are great and staked with everything you need from starting your workout to finishing.

You have all the machines/weights that I need. The atmosphere is good and the gym is reasonably clean. The only thing I wanted to complain about is you guys turning off the air conditioning at night in the summer months when people like me still wish to train at night comfortably. Also, allow me to get into the gym more than once for the day. Eg, if I forget my phone in the car after going into the gym, I can’t get back in for the day. It’s happened before and it’s annoying.

Gym is ok
Gym is ok, but does get crowded a shame I cancelled my membership as JD gyms should in my opinion protect the business potential thefts even if it's not on site, Ie just Curstiosy emails about leaving bikes opposite gym in bike rack, trained there for an hour last week ( life is good) came out to my £2500 legal e-bike being stolen, reported to police no CCTV footage and police also mentioned this has happened before there. I suggest to protect the reputation of the business you just send out Curstiosy emails about bike thieves in the area or just put notices on the entrance warning about bike racks being a potential target for thefts I had 2 locks on the bike and it still got robbed

Access and equipment issues
QR code sign in system has not worked on multiple occasions. Broken or worn equipment (i.e. cable machines, chest press and peck deck were all uneven, unsteady and/or wobbly). No disabled toilet or changing access.

Unfriendly and lazy gym staff
I went to join the gym at today 8May 2025. At around 11AM this morning. Gym staff was a male with ginger beard. I don’t want to mention his name. I asked if he could show me around so I know what’s available for equipments . He was so unfriendly and unwilling to show me around. It’s a shame. He couldn’t even show me the second floor I have to figure out myself. What a shame

Do not join this gym
Do not join this gym, it’s impossible to cancel. They continue to take payments and won’t process cancellations so that they can continue taking payment. They also send threats to not cancel Direct Debit.
Peak time is it impossible to get any equipment.
The lighting is aggressive and distracting.
Not to mention unflattering for anyone with one feeling insecure.
Many pieces of equipment out of order.

I like your gym but i have had already…
I like your gym but i have had already two unfair parking fines because of the fraudulent and dishonest company you use as a car park called Premier park as you can see in their reviews, they are an scam company when you appeal they do not answer and blame was your fault to charge you more and bully you to take you to court. I will change location but you should be aware.

Information regarding parking at any of our clubs is available on the home page of the club, on the JD Gyms website. There is also signage in the gym, to make members aware of the parking procedures.
There are certain gyms we have an affiliation with, but this is very few. If a fine is received at the gym, then we would suggest emailing the gym directly at oldbury@jdgyms.co.uk for further assistance.

Amazing classes by Kayleigh , who pushes you and give great advice in classes and is friendly to all
Sams bootcamp classes are brutal but great with always a great turnout
Would really like to see more ab classes on of an evening
Toilets need regular checks and cleaning and soap dispensers can be empty for days at a time - though this can be easily sorted😉
