JD Gyms - Hempstead Valley Anmeldelser 

I have been a member of the gym at Hempstead Valley for a few months now. It is open 24/7 and has plenty of free parking.

The gym is large and has plenty of treadmills, cross trainers, rowing machines, bikes etc. And a vast array of weights and toning machines, although there are only one of some popular machines and so can be hard to get on those.

It is very self service. You enter and leave using the app and help yourself to whatever you want to use. There are staff around if you need help.

As an older person, going early in the morning is more user-friendly as in the evenings it is busier with a younger demographic.

Overall, I am very happy with the gym and think it is good value for money.

It's well equipped, open 24 hours which is a bonus. The leaky roofs happen from time to time and some equipment is not charged so that could be improved. Other gyms allow you to leave business cards advertising your own business and this one doesn't for some unknown reason could do more to support local small business, especially if not in competition.

The gym is always really clean, has a wide variety of equipment and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I've been coming to this gym for about a year and a half and have no complaints!

After trying a few local gyms JD has come out top. There’s ample parking, good equipment, plenty of space to exercise, loads of classes, sauna, and a great team of staff working there. Can’t fault a thing!!

Excellent man, always working hard always smiling interacting with members give me confidence every time i am here you could tell that this gym is under New management. Nothing to do with him personally, but can we get the stairmaster to not turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity seriously 😂

I struggle socially and was really worried about joining the gym. Such an amazing place and really friendly staff and great classes included in the price. Highly recommend

Finally after many months the spin bikes have been serviced and therefore the spin class was a lot more efficient and effective! Thank you Steve!

Plates always left on machines by lazy gym idiots. rarely see any staff clearing up. Lack of ropes and handles for the cable machines. Handles regularly missing on machines. Ceiling leaks in multiple places but other than that it’s ok.

Used to be a really good gym i have been going for the last two years. But have just changed gyms due to the fact that, when a machine is broken it takes an age to fix prime example the drinking tap on the gym floor has been broken for well over a month!!. Tried cancelling my membership got no reply so have cancelled my dd i bet they will be in touch soon now!.

This gym is a scam! Not only is it always hard to get anything in the gym, because it is always busy no matter what time i go. I work 9-5 and only joined as it was 24hrs, the morning is now just as busy as the evening! Their customer service is SHIT - I requested to cancel my membership, there was no update on it, the next month's payment came out. I am fuming! I emailed to get answers, and they took 14 days on top to respond, and to tell me it's in their policy to take another month payment.

Avoid at all cost, I would rather pay the extra and go with PureGym or TrueGym, they have better report with their customers!

The gym entry system relies on good WiFi connectivity. However, connectivity is so poor that most times gym users are unable to access the gym without staff. The gym converted to 24 hours operation some months ago but it is NOT as most times you are unable to enter without staff being around. I have reported this issue numerous times to management and staff to no avail. The issue persists. I am now thinking of moving back to my old gym.
