Small sauna
Needs steam room, bigger saunas even if its mix they need one big sauna and mainly a jacuzzi

Great gym
Great gym! Very well equipped. Only JD gym that has a sauna in the Greater Manchester area. Reasonably priced membership too!

Overall experience brilliant only issue…
Overall experience brilliant only issue i struggle with is having a visual impairment and struggling to see programs etc on machinery every thing else is amazing and worth the monthly value but machinery for visually impaired should be available

Everything is great about JD Gym bolton.The location, atmosphere ,people and i get everything i need for my workout routine thanks to the gym team for being so supportive.

Lot of improvement needed
You can’t workout more than once a day because you can’t scan in more than once a day. I’ve emailed them but no response for a few days now.
Also emailed to cancel my account to ensure I only get charged for 1 month and no response
The dumbbells are are all over the place and not matched
And the shower doesnt have soap or a hook behind the door to hang your towel

Not the cleanest gym.
The toilets are not that clean.
There is no sanitizer to disinfect the equipment and the showers are also not clean there there's hair on the walls most of the times. Other than that it's a good gym friendly staff and a good environment.

Gym is filth
Gym is dirty - music is sooo LOUD.
Gym equipment is very good.
The worst thing is the hygiene/ there’s dirty marks all over the gym floor.

Bad experience
Absolutely shocking , a bad smell throughout, weights all over the floor to trip over and the toilets were disgusting toilet paper everywhere wet floors everywhere just an overall health hazard , cheap gym and as soon as you enter you understand why

The toilets were not cleaned
The toilets were not cleaned. Urination was everywhere at Bolton JD it's very unhygienic no cleaner onsite maybe that's why. No the toilet rolls.

Shocking
I’ve been a member of this gym for years now. The last year has gone down hill it is so dirty it’s shocking. The toilets get signed off all hours of the day and they are minging I mean to the point where no one wants to use them they never have any loo roll or the taps are not working. The floor under the sink is a death trap! The hole in the shower is also a death trap.
The mats there’re is no point having them they are just full of holes. The equipment is so outdated it’s like the paupers gym. The area manager she is so unfriendly, Sam is ace you ask him something and he just try’s to do it, Ste is the new GM but dosnt seem to have a say in much he’s trying his best to turn the gym around but doesn’t have much support.
Classes I attend a lot of the classes Vicky’s especially what can I say such a good instructor gets the whole class going helps everyone and does a whole 45 min class and she has had classes taken off her which is a joke !
Combat classes I love doing by the times in the morning have changed and I don’t think one has ever been 45 mins usually between 37-39 mins we tell the staff and it’s just yes we will have a word but this has been going on for years and they get given more classes.
Jordan has been given more classes and Antony. There is a pattern here they are PT’s obviously it’s to do with the money you don’t want to keep the loyal members! Nothing against them instructors but they don’t give it there all like the more experienced ones.
This gym could be really good if it had the right staff, was clean you gave good instructors there classes back, and not getting short changed by the other.
A lot have been attending Bury which is so much better.
And you have upped the monthly payments up without letting the members know!
