Iron and fire have the best coffee in town. I first tasted their delicious Colombian Jazz in Shrewsbury and have never looked back. All of the varieties are great tasting coffee. I now have to subscribe so I never run out !! The Severn Blend and Colombian Jazz are my favourites at the moment !!

I have a subscription with this firm they have some of the best coffee beans I have ever had and I have tried a lot of different coffees but Iron and fire always come out tops

I am relatively new to the coffee ‘rabbit hole’ having purchased a Sage espresso machine just a few months ago. I enjoy the technical aspects of brewing, the craft and the taste. I quickly appreciated the importance of freshly roasted beans and had identified a local source. That source changed its business model and as a consequence I had to find an another, hopefully even better, supply of freshly roasted beans. Iron and Fire were the top of my list. They have a coffee shop by the railway station in Shrewsbury and a roastery nearby on a small industrial park. Their industrial unit is, I believe, a converted railway arch and provides a wonderful setting for the business. It is purposeful and atmospheric; a roast of their ColombianJazz beans were in progress, large hessian sacks on pallets, empty sacks on display, a big old table with a few stools alongside, and behind that table a plethora of coffee brewing equipment. The artisan extracting a shot from some newly roasted beans turned out to be the owner of the business. He gave me a shot of Jazz to taste, and I have to say I was stunned. I had no idea that coffee could taste like this (you really could taste chocolate and cherry). He then let me taste an El Salvador (San Ernesto) coffee and this really took me aback, dark chocolate and lime … lime!!! From the beans … not a flavouring that had been added. My visit was unplanned in that they didn’t know I would be going, so friendly, welcoming even, informative and I will be going back. Not only to buy bags of beans, but also for expert help and advice. I drink coffee black mostly, but my family prefer theirs with milk. My skills in texturising milk and latte art are severely lacking despite my best efforts, so I will be booking myself onto one of their training courses to learn how do it better and just know that they will tailor this to my individual needs. Highly recommended, give them a try and if you can pay them a visit.

Fantastic coffee from Iron & Fire. First tried it at Box of Goodness coffee shop in Newport. I prefer the House Blend but the Columbian Jazz is excellent too. Quick delivery - easy to navigate website

I always like trying different roasters for my coffee and these guys came up on my Facebook feed so I thought I'd give them a go. I purchased the Columbian Jazz blend and OMG hands down the best coffee I have ever tasted. Flavour is exquisite and smooth, ordered a larger bag straight away....you have something special there guys, yum.
