Unfortunately
Unfortunately, my experience with Irish Day Tours was very disappointing.
The tour to the Cliffs of Moher started well. The original driver was professional, friendly, and provided clear information throughout the journey. However, after our bus broke down, we were transferred to a replacement bus with a different driver, and that is when the problems began.
The replacement driver barely communicated with passengers and, upon arrival at the Cliffs of Moher, did not announce the return time over the microphone. As I was leaving the bus, he told me the meeting time, but he was very difficult to understand. Even after asking him several times to repeat himself, I was still unsure. I therefore confirmed the time with another passenger, who had understood it as 2:50 PM as well.
When I arrived at the meeting point at 2:50 PM, the bus was already gone. Later, a customer service representative informed me that a total of 15 passengers had missed the bus because they had understood the meeting time incorrectly. If 15 people misunderstand the same instruction, the problem clearly lies with the communication, not with the passengers.
What disappointed me the most was that the bus left without 15 customers, and nobody attempted to contact us or provide any alternative solution. I was forced to arrange and pay for my own transportation from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway and then from Galway back to Dublin, which caused additional expenses, significant inconvenience, and a great deal of stress.
I paid €70 for the tour but was unable to fully benefit from the service I had purchased. Leaving such a large number of paying customers behind without any assistance or effort to resolve the situation is simply unacceptable.
This was a highly unprofessional experience and not what I would expect from a tour company. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Irish Day Tours.
