This was my first time buying from…

This was my first time buying from Inwild and a good experience. I was looking for an item that was not available for me locally at all and found it here for a very competitive price. The parcel took a couple of days to depart, but once it was sent it was delivered quickly and arrived safely wrapped. Overall a smooth transaction, can recommend!

Por favor, no compréis en esta pagina. Compré unas botas de montaña para marcharme de viaje ya hace una semana. En la web decía que el envío se realizaría en 24-48h porque había disponibilidad. Una semana después las botas siguen "en preparación" He escrito varios correos, he pedido la cancelación del pedido, he llamado y no me hacen caso, ni se molestan en responder. Resultado: me voy de viaje a Nepal sin botas de trekking pese haberlas comprado con margen para que me llegaran. Ahora tendré que comprar otras botas en otra tienda y esperar que me lleguen estas para devolverlas con el coste que supone (que ya anticipo que no se van a hacer cargo de los gastos de devolución). A veces es mejor pagar un poco más y comprar en sitios fiables y serios, este desde luego no lo es.

lamentamos sinceramente lo ocurrido con su pedido y entendemos perfectamente su malestar.
Desafortunadamente, debido a un error de inventario, el producto aparecía como disponible en nuestra web cuando en realidad no lo estaba. En cuanto detectamos la anomalía, iniciamos una verificación interna con el almacén, motivo por el cual tardamos un par de días en darle una respuesta definitiva.
Hoy mismo le hemos escrito por correo para informarle del problema, anular el pedido y reembolsar íntegramente el importe. Sentimos no haber podido cumplir con los plazos esperados ni haberle ofrecido la solución antes de su viaje.
Trabajamos cada día para mejorar y evitar que situaciones como esta se repitan, y le pedimos disculpas por las molestias ocasionadas.

Not transparent and poorly processed by…

Not transparent and poorly processed by inwild. The Information provided at point of sale clearly details when VAT is payable. The item I purchased was under the threshold and this is the exact disclaimer provided at time of sale:

"I understand that the prices shown includes UK VAT. The shipment is sent from the EU and, in accordance with UK rules after brexit, VAT will be collected at checkout only for orders under 135 GBP (total value of products, excluding shipping and other costs). For orders over 135 GBP, VAT will NOT be collected at checkout, but they may be subject to customs control at your destination with VAT and possible handling charges."

My purchase was GBP 104.99 PLUS GBP 20.00 VAT and GBP 11.02 shipping, taking the total amount I paid to GBP 137.01.

My item is now held up with UPS and an outstanding "Shipment Fee" of GBP 37.98!! I called UPS and they told me this is a Customs tax. As such it appears I am being charged 20% VAT on top of the GBP 137.01 invoice and then the GBP 11.02 shipping ontop of that again!

Inwild should be clearing this fee with UPS as I have already paid shipping and custos tax to inwild and I have the invoice showing this, Inwild clearly is not properly processing shipping orders. I am now still waiting to receive the item which I purchased to take on my trip abroad however will not be bringing the item as it has still not arrived.

I have tried contacting them but I only received a generic and unhelpful email response telling me I owe tax and with no other resolution. Very disappointed...

We confirm that for your order you paid VAT at checkout. However customs have the right to stop a parcel for inspection and charge fees according to their procedures. Unfortunately we cannot advise you how they calculate these charges since they are totally out of our control.
Please note that import fees are not shipping fees or VAT. Import fees are taxes your government charges when you purchase from abroad.
In order to release the parcel from customs, it is necessary that you pay the charges in full.

Not a transparent company to deal with…

Not a transparent company to deal with if living in the UK. What they say you pay is nowhere near what you end up paying even if they tell you the Vat and Duty are already payed or it's under the Duty threshold. Do not buy from them as you will be able to shop around and get a better deal with a reputable company. Worst shopping online experience in a long time, and I am experienced in buy products outside of the UK... Buyer BEWARE!!!!

We do not advise in the cart that the duty fees are already paid. On the contrary, we write "On Inwild you pay the order total, any other charges will be collected at the time of delivery." There is also a button "What does it mean?" which you can click on and more information is shown.

Sending shoes back set me back £41.90 !

Unless you know you won't have to send the item back, don't buy from Inwild. Nothing wrong with the company itself, apart from being based in Italy while having a UK website (Inwild.co.uk). Sent the shoes back as too small. I received a refund, but minus the postage they had paid (£7) and the custom fees (£18.90). On top of that, I had to pay £15.90 for the return postage. So, returning a pair of shoes I bought for £100 cost me £41.90.

Unfortunately at the moment we don't have a label system for extra EU customers, therefore the client must send us the parcel through a courier service they have available in their country. Cost of shipping depends on the courier's offer and type of service.
For international shipments, there are custom fees to be paid and these are at the client's expense.

We are a company based in Italy and shipping is from here, therefore for extra EU customers duty fees apply to the parcel when it reaches the customs of the country of destination.

Worst Online Seller ever

I purchased a shoe based on the Size chart on the application which was wrong. Hence I received a wrong sized shoe. Now when I raised the issue, the first response from the Customer Care was describing everything is right in another previous order which was completely bullocks. Then when I again explained with screenshots and links etc, they agreed that they have a mistake and then they agreed to replace me the correct size but on order which will take some time. I waiting and suddenly they came back the exact date the return have received them and asked me to close the dispute ticket on Paypal so that they can send the replacement. And now after doing that,I am waiting a week for any response from them. Even after following up on mail not a single response nor any shipping of the replacement have happened so far. I believe it was my biggest mistake to trust such a seller for something I needed in near future. I would suggest to stay away from this kind of sellers who have 0 respect for customer.

Company did not delivered what I payed and left me with empty hands

Company did not delivered what I payed for. Trusted PDP more than the customer so I had payed and did not get any product. After year of back and forth this cry to anyone: Don't buy anything here to save your money and a lot of frustration.

Should be called ‘Invalid’.

Bought some boots that never arrived and started a PayPal case. Was given instructions on how to track down my package, saying there are probably custom fees to pay and that is why it has been held in customs. I had already paid postage fees and the thier website said if I spent over a pertain amount there would be no custom fees. In short I’ve got no idea where the boots are and am not happy whatsoever. Avoid.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Absolutely no communication from the company, I have messaged them 4 times now with out a response. No tracking info supplied even though it is stated you will get it with your invoice. I paid for some boots 3 weeks ago now and have heard nothing from them. Better to stick to companies you can trust.

REVIEW UPDATE: 4 weeks and 1 day after my purchase i received a message from the company. My boots were in the country and to get in touch with parcelforce to track them down and pay the import charges. Even with the charges they were still considerably cheaper than buying in the UK. So to be fair I am happy with my purchase. I think if the company had better communication with their customers from the start it would make them far easier to deal with

Unable to contact and unclear terms and conditions

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Shipment is from abroad and they don't make it clear that this is the case are therefore there are important duties to pay. There is also no way of contacting them to discuss issues with your order.

We advise in the cart that shipment is from EU and that there are import taxes to be paid at the time of delivery. UK is not part of the European Union after Brexit, and therefore parcels destined to your country are subject to import taxes. These fees must be settled completely by the recipient of the package.

Beware if ordering from the UK!

Beware if ordering from the UK! I ordered a Patagonia jacket (£160) from inwild as it was a little cheaper than all of the other stores online, I realised there was a good chance I may have to pay VAT on top when the item arrived. When the jacket finally did arrive 2 weeks later (delivery was advertised as 3/4 days) I had to pay £62 extra in VAT and charges, WAY more than the 20% VAT i was expecting. Customer service emails take between 2 and 5 days each time to be answered meaning a conversation is frustratingly slow.

Its seems very unfair for a company to do its best to attract UK based customers (.co.uk address etc) knowing full well the fees that will be added AFTER purchase make their products none competitive with other online stores.

HAD TO PAY MYSELF TO RETURN SHOES

Bad customer service.
I bought some shoes that were too small and wanted to exchange for a larger size but I HAD TO PAY FOR THE RETURN MYSELF. And extra 15€ just to return some shoes that are too small.
I will not be ordering from here again and do not think anyone should with a return policy like this.
They just lost a potential new client

We have shipped you the correct product you ordered and unfortunately, if the product doesn't fit you or doesn't meet your requirements, this is something our of Inwild's control.
We allow unused products to be returned within 30 days from the date of delivery, however the cost of return is at the customer's expense.
For customers within EU, we can offer the option to book a prepaid label at the cost of 9,90€ which is later deducted from the refund amount.

item was not as ordered so was returned at my expense. so from an original purchase price of £38.97 inc postage, the refund was 20.38 euros, as although I posted them back with import/export charges included (£9.30) they said it was customs charges their end so deducted 14.04 euros!
disgusting rip off and could even begin to recommend this company.
