This was my first experience dealing with a subsidence claim caused by internal foundation movement, and I initially trusted that my insurance provider would act in my best interests. After two years, the loss adjuster confirmed that the movement had stopped, and the insurer’s building contractor proposed laying a new floor in the hall, lounge and dining rooms while we continued living in the property.
