Delivery communication needs improving.
No problem with the materials supplied. However, after a confirmation of the order we received no further notification or information until a lorry turned up unannounced about a week after we placed the order with 14 packs of insulation.
Despite it saying 24 hours typical delivery on the website we had heard nothing for nearly a week. I then phoned on the Friday and spoke to a helpful person who was going to phone the following week to let us know when we could expect delivery. I explained that there was no rush but we wanted to make sure we would be in to receive the delivery. The next thing we knew was when, rather than an update, a lorry turned up on the Monday morning with the delivery. Fortunately we were in but I'm not sure what would have happened if we had been out. It was hemp insulation that isn't supposed to get wet so hopefully it would not have just been dumped in the drive.
They really need to improve communication and make contact to arrange a convenient delivery time especially as, in our case, this cost £50.

Ordered material, no call or email after 1 week I had to chase them on 2 occasions to get the order. Probably won’t use again.

The ordering process was straight…
The ordering process was straight forward and delivery notifications were timely.
The delivery driver was helpful and flexible, contacting us before arrival.
We did ask for 'What 3 words' code to be passed on to the driver to help with locating us, but this didn't happen which led to the driver having to call for directions.
The product arrived as expected, with no issues to note.

It’s good to call.
After being unable to order online, it was sorted over the phone. Which was good. Delivery not quite as speedy as expected and slightly costly if ordering just a few items. Otherwise all would have been a five star review.

One of the bags was delivered torn…
One of the bags was delivered torn spilling plaster over all the other bags. It was torn to such as extent that who ever packed the pallet would have known that they had torn the bag. Very disappointing.

IndiHemp batts are a great product
I purchased the IndiNature IndiHemp batts 100mm x 370mm to install between loft joists. They are easy to cut with a Bacho Profcut Insulation saw and they fit nice and snug between the joists. Two reasons the IndiHemp batts are great 1. No itchy fibres so cutting and handling is pleasant unlike mineral/glass wool. 2. It's a UK made carbon negative product, and about as environmentally sound as you can get.
Ordering was easy and delivery arrived in two days.

Be careful if you want a quick delivery!
I have no complaints about the natural, sustainable woodwool boards ordered and supplied.
However, I was told when ordering that they were 'in stock' and available for immediate delivery. That wasn't what happened!
After numerous emails, phonecalls and broken promises, I waited more than two weeks, and only received the goods after crying down the phone as I saw my window of opportunity for undertaking my insulation project disappearing. In the end, I got the boards installed by working until 10.00 that evening and starting again at 4.30 next morning. I finished with half an hour to spare.
I can only imagine that small orders like mine are simply not prioritised when the company is busy.
Be warned!

Insulation Merchant got me out of a…
Insulation Merchant got me out of a problem in purchasing vapour barrier. The local merchant that sold it was 300% more expensive than average on-line price! The Insulation Merchant sourced it immediately and it was delivered to Scottish Highlands & Islands for only £15 which was fantastic. Can't rate them high enough and glad to know there is a company I can rely on.
