He is gentle, considerate, and well-versed into Phonology/Phonetics. He has really gone the extra mile to be a very good accent coach: actually, he has delved into -I guess- around THIRTY different phonological systems to help his students by comparing/contrasting, if necessary, with native students' sounds. As a person who has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures, I had lots of German and English natives as language assistants/lecturers and nobody had his contrastive-comparative approach, which I think is far more effective and definitely the best way to your phonemic awareness.

This program is not a regular classroom/recorded program where a tutor bombards you with lot of theory lessons and you get overloaded with the stuff which you can't soak. Luke has actually taken a scientific approach to explain why you pronounce differently and how you can improve your accent towards Standard British English. His own accent is very clear and very close to Standard accent. Best part is that the program is customized with your native language that helps you to decode the fact why you speak differently. Its interesting to know how our facial muscles are developed by pronouncing in a specific way since our childhood and those muscles have to be taught for some specific English sounds. Personally I got benefitted a lot and now I understand 100% of what my British colleagues are saying and also I have become more understandable for them as well. The course is great, so detailed and yet everything is easy to find and understand. Luke's videos are short and very clear and accessible. I've learnt more in 2 months of going through the videos and materials than in many years of random navigation between YouTube pronunciation courses :) ! The course adjusts to your native language to help you identify the most common pronunciation mistakes. It also does a really good job in focusing not only on the rhythm and stress but also going back to the basics on how to pronounce each sound, with informative "mouth" charts. The IPA translations are also very useful. I only wish I had more time to participate in the classrooms and interact with the Discord community. Thanks Luke for all the efforts you put in designing the course.

This course is very well organised and it covers a ton of useful information and exercises to improve your English pronunciation. I thought my English pronunciation was fairly decent, but this course has made me aware of a bunch of mistakes I need to correct when speaking English.

"Improve Your Accent" is excellent! It is very well structured and fun at the same time. During the weekly online class, I've never seen a fellow student who wasn't impressed by the quality of the learning material.

This is due to Luke's professionalism, which is based on a solid knowledge of phonetics and phonology and extensive experience of teaching students from all over the world. The course is designed above all to be practical. It is simple to use and the graphic design is attractive too. The result is that, in a short space of time, I've gained confidence in my pronunciation and learnt to actively recognise the different sounds and melodies of the English language.

When you study English, I think pronunciation is the most difficult thing to learn, and this course is really unique if you want to improve your accent. Among the best features of the course are the online classrooms which are held four times a month. Luke provides personal feedback and you also learn a lot from watching Luke coach other students. His competence is inimitable!

If as a native speaker of Spanish you lost hope to even understand (forget about producing it yourself) how the pronunciation of English works, this course will change your mind. I have lived in London for 12 years now and have always struggled with pronunciation. I took a few courses before but nothing really worked until I signed up for Luke’s course. It's a game changer!
