Google mail used to be fast, efficient and functional. It is approaching unusable. PLEASE RESTORE THE NO-FRILLS VERSION.
1) Multistep login seems to be the norm. First find phone or login (multistep) elsewhere. A 5 min email check takes 20 min. LET USERS CHOOSE (unless there are multiple failed attempt ed logins)
2) JUST DITCH AI. It has never done anything useful but gobbles system resource.
3) Let users turn off extra "goodies" which combined with Windows-11 will kill most systems.
4) email used to be instant delivery - not 2-3 days which I sometimes experience. Paper post may be faster.

Update didn't improve anything. This is my second complaint on this. The other being a couple of months ago. The update yesterday didn't do anything positive. The Google email still chucks me out the first time I log in and they keep prompting for my phone number as a a recovery. Get stuffed, you're not getting that, so you can sell my details. I know your game and I'm now considering going back to Firefox and changing my email to another email provider. You've actually gone down from a 2 star last time to a 1 star this time. Didn't think you could get any worse.

I really hope someone from Google will read this and take it as constructive feeback from a user.

First, Google Mail doesn't enable dark mode precisely wehre we need the most...the actual window where one types emails! There plenty of complaints about this on the web.

Second, that edit/tool bar that either you get rid of or it blocks a chunk of your already limited view. My next pint elaborates on this.

Third, the actual visual space for message writing is small, even when one opens a message in full window, especially when the full size of a computer screen is taken into account.

Four, the strategy deployed for show message history is consuding, irritating, frustrating, and time consuming when one needs to finds a particular message.

So...many improvements to be made, and it seems to be that with advacements in ID, Python, etc, these would be easy problems to resolve.

I hope these can be tacled asap!

I have got a google mail business account. It is possible to set up a new user and allocate apps to the new user. And, of course, google will charge for this service per user.

However, once the new user attempts to access these apps, an error message appears that states that they do not have access to these apps.

I have tried to contact the customer helpline, but it seems that something like that does not exist for google. They do have "canned" answers in a database, but these do not answer the question. All the answers are given to simple questions and are vague and generic.

I am paying for google mail, but not receiving a service! :(

The best option is to migrate to another service provider.

I opened two accounts yesterday with gmail, and then sent a message, today I discovered I could not access either account, enquiries lasting over 4 hours resulted in seven different codes being sent to my mobile,none of which worked, telephone communication was,t helpful punctuated by comments such as "oh shxx", clearly an American,. Quite simply I advise everyone to dump their gmail accounts, they just don't, work and if you do reach a human being they are an american, and in my experience that means arms longer than legs and they grunt a lot and scratch their bottoms, and eat fleas off each other, that seems to be my experience.'/and nothing gets resolved
