Steve and Garth is very professional and responsible tutors for my CELTA training.

This is a great school with amazing teachers, especially Sally. I was happy to study there and I achieved all my goals. I highly recommend to take lessons in this school for medical professionals who are looking for the best OET preparation course.

Top school, I spent 6 months there and they helped me to develop my English. Teachers and staff are amazing.

I don't feel like I learned any useful Portuguese. There was a lack of structure to the lessons and very little actual speaking of sentences, phrases. The experience was very disappointing.

Very well organised and supportive. Be ready for your life to be completely taken over by this course. It is worth all the money and time.

What worked well:
I appreciated the Barry's deep subject matter expertise and knowledge in the field. His practical insights and real-world experience came through clearly during the sessions.

Areas for improvement:
Technical delivery: The training experience was impacted by technical difficulties, particularly with screen sharing in Zoom. Smoother technical execution would have made the content more accessible and professional.

Training delivery: In addition to the technical screenshare issue, the main medium of training was PowerPoint, with a few videos. The videos were effective. In the training, there was only my manager (Rachel) and the facilitator (Barry) and myself. Because of the low number Barry still managed to make the training interactive by asking us direct questions and making it more conversational. Had we been 10 people the format may not have worked.

Course alignment: There seems to be a mismatch between the course positioning and content. The training appeared designed for managers who will be relocating or working directly in another country. However, as a Learning and Development Manager, I was looking for content that would enable me to design and deliver training programs for managers who lead distributed, multi-country remote teams. There were a few practical tips but a Train-the-trainer approach would have been more beneficiary

IH is obviously a good English School for foreigners.

Good teachers, efficient staff, good location, next to Covent Garden, well-stocked snack bar with friendly staff, free and very good and various social programm (afternoon outings), nice students, pleasant atmosphere...

However, I was surprised by two things :

- despite all the level tests carried out beforehand, I found myself in a class of 6, and then 7, students (30+) with significant gaps in level.

- the student residence, classified Gold, where the school accomodated, me did not fully meet my expectations in terms of service quality, which was not really suited to a short stay.

CELTA is a very short & demanding course but it was valuable and a great learning experience. I have definitely come away with a clearer understanding of how to teach English effectively. The feedback and teaching practice was really helpful and I could see my improvement at the end.

We could have had a bit more information and guidance at the beginning of the course. At times it was overwhelming but also a great experience. We had amazing teachers and a great group and this is what made the course bearable at times. I do recommend the course but time management & being organised are essential for a course like this one!

International School is near the best of attractions in London, and the teachers are very good !

My 1month in the school was wonderful. Luckily my class had only 5students. I was in IELTS preparation class. I made nice friendships with my classmates. For me our class teacher Steven, he was really professional and always gave us really good advice for each students. Especially thanks for him. He and my classmates made me more comfortable with my English.

Great classes our teacher Iwona made me fell comfortable and engaged. Just started my second course i highly recommended.

Fun and informative Japanese class. Enjoyed the interactive format with lots of class exercises and in small groups. Homework was set and marked, which was helpful

Our teacher Charlotte was very friendly and helpful. She addressed all
questions and topics raised by the participants in a competent manner.

The experience was okay. The value is definitively competitive and the staff and teachers were very receptive and friendly.

For Dutch A1 (first level of Dutch ever) I think the content could be better structured, there were 2 teachers in 6 weeks that they did not talk to each other in the lessons content. I think the use of technology could have been better.

The answer to a rather spontaneous request on my current teaching situation was a wonderful set-up of input, feedback and exchange. Thanks to the fantastic staff: knowlegeable, humouros, creative and welcoming. I had a great time!
